Can I still place the overhead heat lamps onto this without it being a hassle when I want to open it?

The lamp can be placed over this product.
I have a 55 Gallon tank with a bar thru the top middle. So, if i buy two 24 inch covers will they fit my tank?

This product would be too small.
Does this lid have a weight limit, or would it need reinforcements to prevent, say, a 10lb cat from taking a dip? Unfortunately this is a serious question.

This cover does have a weight limit. It's not recommended to let pets, such as cats, sit on this metal cover.
What are the exact measurements of the 24" cover?

The dimensions for the 20-inch are 20.4 x 0.8 x 10.5 inches and the 24-inch is 24.3 x 0.6 x 12.8 inches.

Worked well

Exactly what we needed. Simple and easy to use. I have to hit 50 characters but dont really have anything to add we have a crested gecko and it climbs on it

This is a must have

This hinged cover makes feeding time so much easier. Just flip the front section and drop in the turtle food, no more removing or playing balance games with the full screen cover anymore. I will be ordering one for our 20 gallon to replace the non-hinged cover. Thanks Chewy!

It does NOT fit a 20 gallon.

The description wasn't good enough, I bought this thinking it would fit my 20 gallon, considering that's what it said the size would fit and it would fit larger. I have a 20 gallon long tank, this I'm assuming is supposed to fit a regular 20, so it's fine if you don't have a long tank. But now I have to return this and buy a tank lid that actually fits.

Incorrect Measurements

I bought the 24in for my 20 gallon tank, b/c it said it would fit. It did not fit. Not by a long shot. Even worse, it doesn't even fit my 10 gallon. So, maybe since if it's too small for the 20 and too big for the 10, it would be right for a 15 gallon.

Alright my opinion

Make sure to measure outside of glass, It doesnt fit, my 24" x 12" terrarium but i expect since my terrarium is 24 and glass is 0.25 so comes out to 24.5"... I've bent "steel" so it would fit, what i dont like is that its not that strong material, kinda flmsy, don't try to put anything heavy over it, it'll break.

Extremely Convenient

I love having the center hinge down the middle of the cover! It makes everything so much easier. I have plain screen covers and side opening screen covers, and I'm slowly converting them all to these. I keep my tanks on shelves, and is really nice to not have to move the tank or cover completely to access the inside of the tank.
