    It won't stay in place.

    By on

It works great. I stuck it to the bottom of my terrarium on the outside. My issue is that it won't stay in place unless I tape it to the tank.

    Doesn’t get hot

    By on

I purchased the 50-60 gal of this UTH for a blue tongued skink. The box and packaging arrived in good condition but this item doesn’t get hot.

    sizes mentioned are incorrect

    By on

the 50-60 gallon size measures 8x17 inches, not 8x12 as mentioned by Chewy in the Q&A section. it doesn't fit my tank, but i am hopeful for an easy exchange process.

Good UTH, Unsure of other reviewers.

    By on

I've had the 20 gallon UTH for my ball python for about a year, it consistantly holds 94.3 degrees (with regulator) and I have currently ordered the 50-60 gallon size to prep his new tank. However, based on the reviews, the larger the size - the less effective the mat, I'll test this when my new UTH comes in.

Use it for the right function.

    By on

I've had a lot of success with these UTH's. Keep in mind: these are not meant to be any other heat source except belly heat; they will not help maintain the atmospheric temperature in you tank; always have an infrared heat measuring gun to check the surface temp. Most people recommend using a tempt control module with these products. If they are not functioning properly it is 100% worth checking the power output on your outlet.

    DO NOT BUY!!!

    By on

This heater is terrible! I've always had this brand of tank heater, I used to have a 20 gallon one and it worked great, I needed to move my breadie into a bigger enclosure so I bought the 60 gallon one and it DOES NOT HEAT UP AT ALL! I called chewy and they sent me another one for free and that one didnt even get warm it stayed completely cold. So I called the again and the sent me one more and that one is barley even warm. I'm going to call and get my money back. SO 3 HEATERS LATER AND NONE OF THEM WORKED!! AGAIN, DO NOT BUY.
