Does this have an adjustable temperature? Do I need to purchase a thermometer separately or does this have one built in?
Answer by Chewy • Sep 18, 2019
The temperature of this item is regulated but not adjustable. It is strongly recommend to purchase a thermometer for each 20 gallons of tank to monitor this heating pad and your pet's overall temperature gradient.

This product includes rubber feet to raise the tank and provide space for air circulation.

Bearded dragons

I have owned bearded dragons for over 20 years. I've always used this heating pad on the outside underneath of my tanks. It works great but the adhesive is terrible and needs upgrading. Nevertheless i tape it to the underneath with heating tape. Also for anyone who wants to know bearded dragons most certainly can feel heat on their belly. It is a huge falsehood that they can't. They will not get burned by using heating pads or heating rocks. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that ppl honestly believe this falsehood. They are native to Australia which has a very hot climate and has a lot of sand that gets extremely hot. For anyone to believe a bearded dragon that's native to an extremely hot climated country can't feel the burning hot sand and ground on their bellies seriously needs to educate themselves! JS! If that were the case there would be thousands even millions of unalived burned bellied bearded dragons all over Australia! Please do your research before getting any reptile actually any animal. Because your lack of knowledge could be detrimental to your animals health and well being! Anyways i highly recommend this brand's heating pads, heating and UV lights, lamps thermometers and timers. They work great and are priced well!

Doesn't stick

We just opened the package and put it on the bottom of the enclosure. It started falling minutes after applying it. Had to use duct tape, but still partially falls off. Heating is good.

Won't stick

This heating pad is junk. It won't stick to the bottom of the aquarium. I had a small one on the other end of my large glass aquarium and it stuck for over 12 years..... I decided to get a larger pad and put it on the other end of the cage and retire the smaller, old pad. But it's winter and I go in and find the heating pad laying in the bottom of the aquarium stand. Sometimes I just press on it for good measure, but it always comes unstuck. I think it's just the sticky isn't sticky enough.

Best Heating Pad Ever

Only negative thing is that the self adhesive came off in less then 2 months, but I know that by reading reviews. Ducktape to the rescue. By my queen Liz loves hers.

NOT FOR BEARDED DRAGONS

Bearded dragons are not to be heated from the under side because they cannot feel heat on their bellies and they can end up badly burning them selves or cooking them selves alive!

Pad lost stick 2nd day

I'm flabbergasted by this. It lost stick to the glass the second day and I had to duct tape it to the glass. I couldn't get another one at the time and I'm deeply upset by how awful the adhesive just doesn't work. Fire hazard!! It shouldn't be getting that hot to burn/melt the tape.

Pathetic....

Have gone through 3 of these now.... They stick and work fine for the first week or so, and then inevitably begin to fall off and refuse to stick. PATHETIC EXCUSE for a 'quality product'...

Just as other reviewers said.

Received this heater very quickly. However, as other reviewers said, the heater didn't work when I received it. The good news is I e-mailed the company and they responded fast and sent me another one that worked perfectly. I would give them a 5 star rating for the product if the first one worked as well as the second one.

Great Product

This is a great product. Have used them for years with no issues. Always used with a thermostat of course. They came in packaged nicely and very quickly. The only issue I had was none of these came with the spacers for the tank. I don’t know if they quit doing that but it was a nice addition to keep the cord safe.
