    Not meant for ambient temps!

By Spiry on Aug 12, 2021

This under tank heat pad is meant to provide a warm spot for your snake to digest it's meal. The reviews complaining about not getting their tank warm enough are uneducated. It is not meant to raise the ambient temp throughout. If you need your tank warmer you should be heating your room. It does the intended job just fine. I secure it with foil tape on the edge to make sure it doesn't fall off. Please use a thermostat to regulate your ideal temp so your animal doesn't burn or overheat itself. Thermometers only tell you the temp, they do not change it, but are good to use in addition to check your ambient temps. The mini is good for critter keepers or reptile ranch.

    Cracked my tank- beware

By Grace on Sep 20, 2021

I put this pad under my tank last night for the first time. This morning I heard a loud cracking sound come from my snakes tank as I was drinking my coffee.. This under tank pad cracked my tank I just purchased brand new. Right where the pad is attached under the tank.

    Works Great For My Snails

By CrazyCandi on Aug 31, 2021

I bought this for my snail terrarium, and it works great! The only thing I would say is that I recommend you get a thermostat to control the temperature because even though it is a small heat mat, it gets very hot. I know some reptiles need to be kept warmer, but my snails need to stay in the mid-70s.

    Works great

By Atti on Aug 8, 2021

The only problem ive found with this is that the adhesive isnt the strongest, so i have to reconnect one corner every now and again, but it heats evenly and not too hot!!

    Perfect heat mat

    By Nikki844 on Apr 23, 2021

It arrived faster than expected. I was very impressed with the way it was shipped. In a box so it wouldn't be bent or damaged. It works great. I haven't had any issues. Perfect for my leopard gecko. I have a thermostat for the heat mat, and it heats and maintains the temperature I need.

    I would not.

    By Lwils4542 on Mar 9, 2021

This heat mat is pretty bad. it says it can heat up to 40g, however, I put it on a 20gL connected to a heat pad thermostat with the temp probe set 4 inches away so it auto shuts off if it gets too warm (which for my reptile is 90 degrees). My house is also at an almost constant 72 degrees. This heat mat has not gotten my warm side of the tank above 77 degrees EVER. even with the temp probe a mere 4 inches away. It covers the entire side of the tank. I had to add a heat lamp to finish the job. I would not purchase this heat mat again.

    IT IS FINE.

By Damascus on Apr 17, 2021

I bought this for my leo, it works great. The one thing is that the instructions were very convoluted. It takes 6-8 h to heat fully up and for you, all you might want to know at full temp it reaches is 95-100 degrees F.

    It doesn't get hot enough

    By Uprightpoem3 on Mar 16, 2021

I'm quite new at reptiles and heard that using a thermostat with the heat mat would work so I tried it. I turned the thermostat to 85 degrees and after 4 hours of waiting it won't even get above 75 degrees and I have to rely on a heat lamp to get the tank at least to 80 degrees. This mat doesn't work

    bought for ball python

By Bonanno on Feb 23, 2021

We bought a 20g one for our new ball python and the mat heats up to 149° F there were no instructions and we were really scared as our snake can die so we called a friend and she ordered us a regulator in the mean time we’ve been monitoring the temperature and unplugging it once it reaches 90°
