I previously got my doodle (likely retriever and standard poodle mostly) some of these Zuke’s training treats in the peanut butter flavor and she was not a fan. Now, this was when I first got her around 11-12 weeks, and she was an accidental adoption from a young couple who got her from a puppy mill. She was not in good shape and had a pretty sensitive GI system for nearly a year. She’s always loved peanut butter, so it was odd she didn’t like them. I decided to give these a try since they were chicken mostly, and she loved them. I like the size of them as they’re not too big or small for training for a large size dog like Rosie. They’re a little high on price point for me just because it would be easy to go through a bag a week at minimum if you’re really trying to have a well trained dog. However, if you’re purchasing these for a small breed dog they would be the perfect size for treats and NOT training, so a lot more cost effective.

What made me want to try these were the fact that they are made with real lamb meat and are not full of fillers which is better for my boy. They are great for training with the smaller size and if you have a baby who is food or reward motivated these are perfect especially for on the go!

My dogs have always loved zuke treats and this was no exception. I have been using these as a treat option while training pur puppy. I like these treats because they are small, low calorie, and easy to eat, while continuing to train. Its also easy to use as a scatter treat to get him working on using his nose to find them. Our puppy has a lot of food allergies, so it was nice to find lamb as an option, without a lot of other added proteins.

Seem stale

A little disappointed in these treats as they seem stale fresh out of the pack. I purchased 2 varieties and both seem hard. I have purchase similar versions previously

Both packages were air tight so unsure what the issue and why a small puppy version would be so hard and stale.

I have been using these Zuke’s Puppy Naturals as high value treats when training my Havanese pup. They are tender so breaking into even tinier pieces is easy, but

I have been using these Zuke’s Puppy Naturals as high value treats when training my Havanese pup. They are tender so breaking into even tinier pieces is easy, but they are also easily chewed whole. Often we use their daily kibble ration for training, but it’s helpful to have something they really love for more difficult tasks. My pup comes running and is happy to work on obedience skills using these tasty treats. I like that they are low calorie and have DHA and EPA. My pup loves training with these!
