Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Effective & Compatible with Spot-On

After years of different choices, I have been using Advantage 2 shampoo & spot-on for dogs, and Advantage shampoo & spot-on for cats. Do not confuse with Advantix-

After years of different choices, I have been using Advantage 2 shampoo & spot-on for dogs, and Advantage shampoo & spot-on for cats. Do not confuse with Advantix- that's very different . I choose this combination after my cat had a seizure licking spot-on from my dog. It left the cat with permanent damage & was horrible to witness. After a very expensive trip to the emergency vet, she somewhat recovered, but not completely. Try to separate cats from dogs for a day after treatment. The ingredients in Advantage are similar for cats & dogs, bit different strengths, leaving less chance of bad effects. The dog shampoo should never be used on the cat. But, by using the combination at the beginning of this review, you will have the safest & most effective treatment for your dogs & cats.!

I had my 2 dogs boarded for 2 days and was horrified to find them upon arriving home infested with fleas. Scratching and chewing frantically. I ran to the store

I had my 2 dogs boarded for 2 days and was horrified to find them upon arriving home infested with fleas. Scratching and chewing frantically. I ran to the store and purchased this product. Lathered them up generously, and left it on for 10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing them off. Problem solved. I would use it again if necessary.

It might not be the #1 in all time but compared to the other prices on the market and the job this does to fleas it's spectacular! I'm extremely satisfied. My dog came from a farm, flea and tick ridden. It took MONTHS to get rid of all of them because of the sheer amount of bugs that had attached to her at the farm. This was what did it. My dog is so much happier and less itchy.
