**Can I apply Advantage II for dogs on my cats?
No, do not use Advantage II for dogs on cats. Please follow label directions for the application of our flea products.
No, do not use Advantage II for dogs on rabbits. Please follow label directions for the application of our flea products.
Advantage II for dogs combines two active ingredients:
This combination plays a crucial role in treating and preventing infestations, because:
Advantage II flea prevention is applied to your dog topically, spreading over the skin and hair. It kills fleas through contact, so fleas do not have to bite your dog to die. With oral flea medications, fleas have to bite your dog and ingest the medication before they are killed.
A single application of Advantage II for dogs stops biting fleas for one month. However, if the dog has a severe infestation, retreatment within a month may be necessary. See product label for additional information.
Use Advantage II for dogs monthly, year-round to help keep your pet protected from fleas. Follow label directions for application.
You can use Advantage II for dogs on puppies and dogs 7 weeks of age and older.
No, you cannot split tubes of Advantage II for dogs between multiple dogs. To successfully prevent and control fleas, dogs must be treated with their own dose of Advantage II. Follow label directions for application.
Advantage II for dogs does not kill ticks but it does provide multi-stage flea control, effectively breaking flea life-cycle stages for lasting control of flea populations. It also treats, prevents and controls lice infestations on dogs.
Advantage II for dogs kills fleas on dogs within 12 hours of application.
Do not have contact or allow children to have contact with the area treated with Advantage II for dogs until completely dry.
Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal of Advantage II.
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.
Great product! Works fast and lasts long! My dog had gotten quite a few fleas and this worked quickly and effectively. We use it monthly now and have no problem with fleas anymore!
This product helped minimally to some extent. It can only be applied once a month, 4 applications in 1 box. Hoping it would do better as the months progresses.
Thank you so much for having this product. It shipped quickly. The price was good and it works really well!
As always Chewy comes through. I always know I can count on them.
This product does not provide the protection that Advantix II provides. Would not recommend.
This works amazingly well. Count on it each year and it never fails.
On Sept 23, 21 I ordered Advantage II Flea Spot Treatment for Dogs 3-10 lbs that has 4 doses for 4 months. I opened the 1st dose that is a very tiny tube to apply the gel to my Chihuahua, only 1/3 of a small drop came out, I didn't think it's enough so I opened the 2nd dose, nothing came out shockingly. I opened the 3rd dose, it again produced may be 1/4 of a drop. I continue to open the 4th dose, again completely empty. I don't think all 4 doses produce enough gel to help my Chihuahua's flea problem effectively. There is no Expiration Date on the box so I have no idea how long Chewy got this Advantage II product in stock. If you want this product, make sure you check the Expiration Date with Chewy C/S prior to buying it
We’ve applied to our small dog twice in two weeks, she is still covered with fleas!
Have used advantage before, and Im not sure if this round was improperly stored or maybe it was expired but after the application on all my dogs (my order had 2 different weight ranges) none of the fleas were taken care of
I usually have good luck with this but this time I put it on my dogs and they all had fleas again a week later. I feel that this time was a waste of money.
