Advantage Multi for Dogs is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria Immitis and the treatment of Dirofilaria Immitis circulating microfilariae in heartworm-positive dogs. Advantage Multi for Dogs kills adult fleas and is indicated for the treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis). Advantage Multi for Dogs is indicated for the treatment and control of sarcoptic mange caused by Sarcoptes Scabiei Varcanis.
Contact your veterinarian if your dog experiences localized pruritus, hematochezia, diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, inappetence or pyoderma.
In a well-controlled field study Advantage Multi for Dogs was used safely in dogs concomitantly receiving ACE inhibitors, anticonvulsants, antihistamines, antimicrobials, chondropprotectants, corticosteroids, immunotherapeutics, MAO inhibitors, NSAIDs, ophthalmic medications, sympathomimetics, synthetic estrogens, thyroid hormones, and urinary acidifiers.
Do not dispense dose applicator tubes without complete safety and administration information. Use with caution in sick, debilitated, or underweight animals. The safety of Advantage Multi for Dogs has not been established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. The safe use of Advantage Multi for Dogs has not been established in puppies and dogs less than 7 weeks of age or less than 3 lbs. body weight. Prior to administration of Advantage Multi for Dogs, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated with an adulticide to remove adult heartworms. The safety of Advantage Multi for Dogs has not been evaluated when administered on the same day as an adulticide. Advantage Multi for Dogs is not effective against adult D. Immitis.

Instructions
The recommended minimum dose is 4.5 mg/lb (10 mg/kg) imidacloprid and 1.1 mg/lb (2.5 mg/kg) moxidectin, once a month, by topical administration.
Store at room temperature between 39° - 77°F.

Advantage Multi for Dogs prevents heartworm disease in dogs after a swim or bath, 60 and 90 minutes respectively after application.
Do not apply to irritated skin.
- Remove one dose applicator tube from the package.
- While holding the tube in an upright position, remove the cap from the tube.
- Turn the cap over and push the other end of the cap onto the tip of the tube.
- Twist the cap to break the seal and then remove cap from the tube.
- The dog should be standing for application. Part the hair on the back of the dog between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
For dogs weighing 20 lbs. or less, place the tip of the tube on the skin and apply the entire contents directly on the exposed skin at one spot between the shoulder blades. For dogs weighing more than 20 lbs., place the tip of the tube on the skin and apply the entire contents directly on the exposed skin at 3 or 4 spots on the top of the backline from the base of the neck to the upper back in an area inaccessible to licking. Do not apply an amount of solution at any one location that could run off the side of the dog. Do not let this product get in your dog's mouth or eyes. Do not allow the dog to lick any of the application sites for 30 minutes.
Advantage Multi for Dogs is for use on puppies at least 7 weeks old and weighing at least 3 pounds.
Advantage Multi for Dogs does have an expiration date that can be found on the bottom edge of the package. Advantage Multi for Dogs should not be used past its expiration date.
We recommend bathing before applying product. The product can be applied once the pet is towel dried. Shampooing 90 minutes after treatment does not reduce the effectiveness of Advantage Multi for Dogs in the prevention of heartworm disease. Shampooing or water immersion 4 days after treatment does not reduce the effectiveness of Advantage Multi for Dogs in the treatment of flea infestations. However, shampooing as often as once weekly may reduce the effectiveness of the product against fleas. Please use a pet shampoo that is soap-free.
Yes. A study showed that when dogs went swimming 60 minutes after application, Advantage Multi for Dogs still effectively prevented heartworm disease. A study also showed that swimming 4 days after treatment did not reduce the effectiveness of Advantage Multi for Dogs in the treatment of flea infestations.

Doesn't work
I switched to this because Revolution became hard to fulfill. I previously was on autoship with Revolution and it worked great, but when Chewty couldn't get it to me the Vet approved a RX for this product. I noticed fleas after a couple of weeks, and used a 2nd dose a few days ago. Went for grooming today and he was covered in fleas, after a double dose in the same month. I'm on South Texas, so it's already summer-hot, and fleas are everywhere. The Groomer said she sees a lot of customers who are not satisfied with this product, I wish I had asked for a recommendation before I bought a 6 month supply on autoship.
Not Working!
While it once worked on repelling or killing fleas on my dogs, it no longer does. They are miserable! I'm now treating them by with flea repellant bathing until enough time has passed that I can safely apply a different product.
Works better than OTC stuff
I have tried more than one OTC medication, and nothing works like this stuff. I would caution, it smells very strongly of chemicals. My dog's poops the day after also smell like the product. However, it goes away after a few days and lets be real, 2-3 days of smell is better than 31 days of fleas.

No flea protection
I switched to this brand when Revolution became hard to find. It works for the first couple weeks. After that, I see fleas with flea dust on my dog all the time. It’s possible the adult fleas are dying because they move slow, but the dust is everywhere on my dog. If this product has a money back guarantee, I would definitely send it back.
