Our rescue cat is new to our home so we're in a testing period for scratchers. We purchased rope, sisal, and cardboard-based scratchers. This wood and sisal is sturdy. It has a rubber edge on both front and back. The rubber edge is not securely afixed to the wood. She barely used it and the front rubber edge came loose, causing the unit to move when leaned on it. Of course we will glue it but as it turns out, she prefers cardboard so we will donate it to our favorite rescue shelter.

I give this item only 3 stars because my cat is not interested in using it. She has a scratcher that is upright and one that is at an angle, so I thought this would be good. It says it is made of sisal, but it is not made of sisal ROPE. And I think that is the problem.

Cats have not gone near this sloped cat scrat her

I thought I would upgrade our usual cardboard scratching pads and also eliminate the pieces of cardboard that are everywhere, it neither cat will use this scratching

Weird sisal

The boys nails kept getting stuck in it. They do better with the cardboard scratchers. We clip their nails regularly, so maybe this type of sisal is best for kitties

Was hoping this would have worked to save my carpet...I have had it for over a month....maybe 1 cat has used it for a scratcher...and not since...will keep Trying....catnip

My 2 cats immediately used this scratching item. It is very sturdy and doesn’t topple over anytime my cats use it. The tan/ivory color is great and blends well with my decor. I even found Timber lying on it. No more cardboard pieces on my carpet from the cats scratching on it like the ones I used to have them use. So glad that it was very affordable and highly recommend this slanted sisal scratcher for any cat(s) owner needing a cat scratcher.

Good for dust bunnies

Picked this up with several other scratchers a few months ago, and aside from the dust bunnies, no one has touched it. I've tried moving it to different locations

Won't touch this

I bought this because it looked sturdy. Unfortunately my cats won't touch it. I have had it for a few months, added cat nip, silver vine......nothing will get them
