Necoichi Premium Comfort Cat Scratcher Wall, Oak/Brown, Regular

Highly recommend! Another great item from this great brand! It was extremely easy to put together (btw, there are no pre-drilled holes, but the screws easily pierce the cardboard. This confused me at first so I wanted to include this so no one thought it was supposed to come pre drilled). It’s such a great design! My cats were immediately playing in the boxes and all over the scratcher the second I leaned it against my couch, even before I put the catnip on it. Then, the catnip made it a full blown party! Haha As you can see from the photos, my sweet female cat has been tearing up my couch. Thankfully it’s not permanent (can just trim the frayed pieces), and she immediately started using this scratcher instead of scratching the sofa. Yay!! Other scratchers she would still scratch the couch around the scratcher, but not this one! You just have to make sure it’s leaning against your couch, wall, etc, and you’re good. All 3 of my cats instantly loved these and started using them! :) My cat had been rubbing all over it RIGHT before I took the picture. Haha I have more of these (both regular and large) to put around my couch and house. Oh and one of the best things about this: when one side is ripped up, you can use the screwdriver they give you to undo the screws and flip the scratcher plates. So it’s 2 scratchers in one and a lounger. Whoever designed this really understands cats. Thank you! :)

Our cat kept scratching the heck out of our new mattress. I bought him this to redirect and put it at the corner of our bed, and now it’s his favorite scratcher. He scratches on it every time he walks by and most nights even curls up to sleep on it which is so cute! It’s quite tall which is one of the reasons why I think he enjoys it so much. He can get a full stretch whilst scratching. It’s a neutral color and blends nicely in our bedroom. It’s starting to show wear after 3.5 months, but for how much he uses it that’s to be expected. It does shed little cardboard pieces on the carpet but I don’t mind since it’s saving my mattress and my sanity! I bought a second one already as a backup or to just give him a second option.

I bought this to keep my kitty from scratching the edge of upholstery. He likes and scratches the horizontal part but ignores the vertical. This is too much scratch board, but I'll take it apart and use the pieces flat, since he likes that. But he has quit scratching the upholstery (for the most part).
