“She Likes It! We were understandably hesitant to spend a significant sum of money on a coat for our dog (70 lb Doberman Pinscher) considering how much she hated the ""hand me down"" coat we got when we adopted her. We weren't sure if she hated all coats or just that one. Turns out it was that one. I wouldn't say she begs to wear this coat, but she doesn't run away from us when we put it on her, like she would with her other one. We like that it goes over her head, like her harness, so she is used to that. It's warm, it's bright (we got the orange) and it covers her brisket (she's short hair). It runs big. We ordered down one size and that was the right thing to do. It covers her back side. There are two straps that go around her hind legs. She's not a huge fan of those so I am going to use my sewing skills and make a modification to secure the coat a different way around her backside. I like the strap and how it secures around her brisket. For a dog that absolutely HATED a coat, she likes this one. We take her in the woods a lot during the winter and now she can run without getting caught on brush, etc. We debated if she really needed a coat at all, but we take our dog on really long walks year around several times a day. She's short hair and temps in the teens and single digits were of concern, especially as she ages. Considering our success with this coat, we are now looking at raincoats. She hates to go out in the rain, but perhaps with a raincoat she might like it? Stay tuned! (Definitely do the measurements as described in the instructions for sizing.)”
