Best gate EVERRRR!
I got this at a great price! works miracles with our puppy. The old gate we had, somehow our puppy kept finding a way to jump over? it not with this one! super pleased.
Great Gate
Had to keep our dog away from the cat box, for obvious and disgusting reason, this gate did the trick! It’s easy to setup too.
Perfect for dogs & toddlers
It came within 2 days of ordering. It’s perfect for keeping toddlers & dogs from falling down my 2 concrete steps going into our den & separating toddler & dogs when necessary.
Don't trust
This gate lasted 3 days with a 1 yr old pattie. She was able to push on the gate and cause the cheap weld on the hinge to break. She then got out. Dont buy!!!
Carlson Pet gate
This is an excellent gate. Well constructed and holds together really well. The "door" works great. Our only problem is that the 8"x8" cat gate was actually too big and our 20lb dog went right through it to get to the cat food. We have modified it since and is now working fine.
Great Gate for humans, dogs and cats
Easy assembly. Used a zip tie to keep the little door permanently open.

The gate I received for my 4-month-old Irish doodle puppy, Merlin, is definitely an asset to my household. If anyone has had a teething puppy you know how much they love to vacuum up the floor eating everything in their path. It keeps him out of the kitchen and living room. The kitchen has my cat's food in it and the living room has their litter box. It was amazing to have Merlin, to stay in our room, and to have him not eat everything in sight. I love this and would recommend it to anyone who has a large puppy, Merlin is a Medium size puppy and he has been able to slip through the little cat/dog gate. He hasn't done that in a while now that he is a bit older but just a warning to anyone who buys this product.
Lovely, well-made gate
Love having 2 of these gates again after success with another Carlson gate at our old house. It looks nice and is sturdy. Website photo of the silver gate does not have the same locking mechanism as the model delivered to us; a person with arthritis or limited finger dexterity might have difficulty using the push button and sliding latch on our gates.
Flimsy metal
This gate bends easily and is made of inferior metal.
Great Product
This gate works great. We have a 90 pound Lab/Mix who is getting to know us and our other dogs. He likes to rear up on the gate and it has withstood this behavior.
