Nutritional Info
Ingredients

Organic Hard Red Wheat Grass Seed, Organic Rye Seed, Organic Flax Seed, Organic Oat Seed, Organic Barley Seed.

Instructions

1) Add soil contents to planter

2) Add enough warm (not hot) water to fully moisten the soil (about 5 or 6 ounces)

3) After water absorbs, stir soil and allow to sit for about 10 minutes

4) Fluff soil and remove about 2-3 tbsp. soil and set aside.

5) Sprinkle seeds evenly over soil

6) Cover seeds with 1/8-inch soil and gently press soil over seeds

7) Place planter in a warm, semi dark area (just away from direct light, not in complete darkness as it may cause mold). NOTE: For faster results cover planter loosely with plastic wrap just until first sprouts appear (no longer than 1-2 days)

8) After sprouts appear or no more than two days, remove plastic wrap and move to a sunny location

9) Keep soil moist until grass reaches 3 inches. Check moisture daily. Once established: do not over water.

10) In about 4-7 days, once grass reaches about 4-5 inches it is ready to feed to your pet.

Feeding Instructions:

Feed to your pet as a healthy reward or snack. Adjust the serving size according to the size of your pet. If your pet is hesitant to eat the grass from the planter, you can try cutting some pieces up and putting it with their food, or some pets even prefer to eat the bits from the floor. You can spritz the grass with water or hide a treat in the grass to encourage feeding.

Dogs have masters, cats have staff

Love this! The cup is really cute, the soil was almost magical, and the seeds sprouted on schedule. I can't wait for the kitties to tell me they approve.

This a nice ceramic cat planter, could double as a mug,and it sprouted very quickly. One of my cats has already taken a couple of nibbles!

    Cat says no

After waiting about a week and following instructions. My cat refused to bother with this. He would go near it, smell it. Then walk away.

Super cute container with decent yield of grass

I'll admit it, I'm not ashamed: I bought this initially because ZOMG LOOK AT THAT CUP. However, the cup is solid enough that the kitties have difficulty moving it and holds a decent amount of grass.

    I will be buying more

Oliver the cat LOVES this. Once they were established, the greens grew a bit every night, and the cat munched on them every morning. Cute, easy to use, healthy, and a hit with kitty - I will be buying more!

    KittyGrass

the planter is very nice, worth the money. the rest, not so much. i recommend cutting a plug from your lawn for the planter--Baxter uprooted everything and we had stuff all over his dinner mat.

    Disappointing

    By on

I followed the instructions very carefully and was excited to see how quickly the grass was growing, but after a few days of the grass growing it smelled so incredibly bad and I could barely stand to have it in the kitchen, let alone give it to my cat. I ended up throwing away the grass but I guess I now have a cat mug!

    They see me sproutin'.......

My advice? Ignore the instructions that say to put it away from direct sunlight in the beginning stages. Mine was doing nothing with these directions, so I gave it a bunch of water and put it in direct sunlight and BAM! Nice green grass growing within 24 hours.

    Ground Dweller Loves Gardening!

    By on

My Kylie loves these - and has from day one. She often sits by it, and watched the grass grow! I recently emptied one and am staring fresh grass. She was devastated with me when I dumped the old grass, and I caught her guarding it after the first day. Even my tree dweller enjoys eating it - but isn't attached to it like Kylie.

    so cute...grows fast.

was surprised that grass was a half inch tall in 3 days and in less than a weeks time it looks like picture. Beware though some cats puke up grass after eating. I plan on growing second batch for outdoor kittys so that they wont eat harmful weeds outside.
