does this have a flavor?

Answer by KittyOct 25, 2025
Says unflavored in the little "compare similar items" thingy I'm gonna assume you can get away with mixing it with tuna juice or something if you need it to have flavor for your cat to eat it willingly

Does this product contain sugars? I have a diabetic cat.

Every now and then, two of my five cats eat their food in large gulps. That causes them to regurgitate and it upsets their intestine lining. Cat Lax is a jelly form of cod liver oil, not a laxative as the name might confuse some people. I squirt a 1 1/2" line of Cat Lax along my index finger and the cats lick it right off. I give them a second line and they LOVE the taste! It helps sooth the lining in the intestine. You can buy Cat Lax at your vet's office, but they will charge you $20 for it.

My cat doesn’t love the flavor so she won’t lick it by itself. But I can easily disguise it under some lickable treats and it goes right down. Putting it on her paw proved to be too messy and I would have to lock her in the bathroom till she got it all off or it would be on everything. But it works really well!! And not too expensive.

She wouldn't eat it.

She tasted it, and I think the fact that it was primarily Vaseline, caused the texture to be unpalatable to her! I am about to mix some into Gravy, and see if she

Great Product

This works really well in helping with hair balls. Trixie rarely has them now and they're much easier on her.

If it’s not coming up, it’s gotta go down. If my old cats are not clearing a hairball all the way and just spitting up liquid. I give them this and their discomfort passes. A must have, just in case. It was also recommended when I suspected a blockage. (Go to a vet/but that I had on hand before I could get in for an appointment).
