About Comfort Zone Calming Cat Collar

Curb Stress in Your Cat

Just like people, cats behave differently when stressed. Comfort Zone products help relax your cat to curb stress-related, disruptive behavior so your cat can feel and behave her best.

Breakaway Design

For your cat’s safety, the Comfort Zone collar has an easy-release, breakaway design. Plus, the crisp white color is easy to see and looks great on any cat.

Promotes Positive Behavior

The trusted, drug-free technology in this breakaway collar helps reduce stress and promote positive behavior in your cat. Ideal for indoor/outdoor cats, it’s perfect for use in large spaces and for on-the-go cat activities like travelling or vet visits.

How it Works

Your cat’s body heat activates the calming pheromones in the Comfort Zone collar. These pheromones mimic a cat’s natural feline facial pheromones (FFP)—the same pheromones your cat would leave behind when head bunting you or rubbing her face on the furniture. The pheromones signal that a place or object is safe and familiar, so using the collar helps your cat take that comforting signal anywhere she may go.

An Easy, No-Mess Solution

Made for use on cats over 10 months of age, the Comfort Zone collar is easy to put on with no mess or hassle. The one-size-fits-all collar can be worn 24/7 for continuous benefits and lasts up to 30 days.

Vet Recommended

Provides behavioral support for cats 10 months and older when used as directed.

Improved Behavior

The collar helps reduce stress and promote positive behaviors, with noticeable improvement in as little as two weeks.

Pheromone Technology

Comfort Zone makes a full line of pheromone products to help your cat feel better.

Promotes Relaxation

The calming collar signals a feeling a safety to your cat, lowering stress levels and promoting relaxation.

About Comfort Zone

Comfort Zone is dedicated to helping cats feel safe, calm and happy using signals they naturally understand. They make a wide range of products designed to promote positive behaviors and lower stress in cats. Their drug-free calming solutions can be used in and around the home or on the go. Are the collars packaged individually in the multi-pack?

Answer by JojoSep 27, 2025
Yes, each collar is separately wrapped in plastic in the box. Once you open the box, you have to get it on your pet quickly in order to not risk getting other scents on it.

Where is Comfort Zone calming pheromone collar for cats made? Where are all ingredients sourced?

Does this collar have lavender or chamomile?

Answer by SilverBanditJan 26, 2026
No. It's unscented and no lavender, chamomile, mint, etc. Someone very sensitive in our house, it has a mild slight smell out of the pack but it fades and to most of our family it's not noticeable at all. Also for sensitive skin and multiple allergies there has been no irritation at all. No one family/friends/cats/dogs has had a problem with comfort zone calming collars.

Would this help cats get along?

Answer by ChewyMay 23, 2020
Consider the Comfort Zone 2X Pheromone Formula Multicat Diffuser Kit to help your cats get along.

My older female cat HATES other cats, especially kittens. We foster failed three kittens and she had a problem bullying them, going out of her way to attack them. This collar doesn't make her like them, but she will keep her distance and ignore them - we know when we need to change the collar though because she will start getting really mean again and it is right after the 1 month mark.

My Senior kitty, Sadie, has been going after my 7 year old Stella. I ordered these collars because I was afraid for Stella’s safety! As soon as I received them I put them on all three cats! Raoul is already pretty chill. The change in both Sadie and Stella is unbelievable! There has been no growling and both kitties are on the couch. I’m so pleased with the result!

Unfortunately, from the time I put the collar on my cat, she stopped eating and acted very strange - she hid and was very nervous. I gave it 24 hrs and took it off, and she went back to normal behavior. I googled side effects and this is not one that's mentioned, so maybe the product is fine and it's just my cat. Just a head's up that is could happen.

We have multiple cats and some tension from time to time and thought these could help. They did seem to help initially, one cat seemed very chill compared to his usual self but they keep getting the collars off somehow. Had 3 of our most skittish cats use these but each one of the cats gets the collars off. We put them as tight as we could, safely and without choking, and they still get them off.

I've got one cat who is extremely anxious and nervous and has been peeing in the house for 10 plus years regardless of what I've done to mitigate the smell or the habit or the house I've lived in. I put this on after a stressful three or four days for him and within a few hours he was immediately more relaxed and not hiding or running away as much and as far as I can tell he has not marked anywhere in the house since it's been put on. I've tried two other brands and they both had way too strong a smell and powder that came off, and this one has neither of those things. The only con is yes it does come off easily, however that is a safety feature and I would rather it pop off and have to be put back on then get caught on something and choke him.

One of my cats has always been aggressive, he would bite and scratch me/guests. I got a dog a few months ago and he’s been increasingly aggressive towards us and the dog. He’s had the collar on for 3 days and already his behavior is noticeably different. He now sits on my lap and he hasn’t bitten me once. I will be purchasing again.

We openned the sealed pouch w/ collars & put on cats 1 day before long car trip we started 3 days ago. Neither cat seamed any calmer but we did not have a control group. The lack of scent may have no bearing as the wall plug in calming oils also have no smell. We want to ease the cars anxiety so much that we will spend the money on these to do anything that might help. Hope there is real clinical evidence of effectiveness & a quality control that ensures performance.

I tried these on two of my cats. My youngest male was acting very anxious since we added a new kitten to the household. He was not eating well and was mounting the kitten. Within a day of wearing the collar, both issues began to resolve, and he was back to normal in a few days. The other cat, a two year old female, can be aggressive toward the other cats. After wearing the collar a couple days, her aggression level improved, but she became very subdued and stopped playing and cuddling, so I removed her collar.

I have two cats who sometimes fight (and one of them has started peeing on the carpet) so I got these for each of them, in the hopes it would mellow them out. I think it was starting to help with the fighting, but I could not keep the collars on them, even with both of the closure tabs on place. My one cat (slightly dim) kept getting his jaw under it and then running around with it stuck. And also, apparently it is tasty to dogs, because my youngest dog licked the collars while they were on the cats and then started chewing them when they fell off. If these were made to fit a little more securely, I would continue to try them, I was hopeful they would work.

I definitely notice a difference when using these collars. I have a cat who can get a little obnoxious toward the other cats- this seems to do just enough to take the edge off. I have this in addition to diffusers. He just occasionally needs an extra boost. I don’t know that it truly lasts 30 days, seems most effective in the first week, so may not be the best option for a cat who needs it all the time
