Kittens: Feed up to two times the recommended adult feeding amount to kittens.
Feed according to the age, size and activity level of your cat. Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Keep fresh water available at all times.
Some pets may have sensitive stomachs and could potentially experience digestive upset from a sudden diet change. Because of this, we recommend making a gradual transition between foods. Begin with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the new food mixed with 75% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet. Feed this blend for 2-3 days and then change the mix to 50% of each for 2-3 days. Then feed 75% of the recommended daily portion of the new food with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet for a final 2-3 days before fully switching.
Cats can be funny about diet changes. Watch closely to be sure that your cat is eating during the transition. We recommend that you put two bowls of food out - one for the new food and one for the old - so that you can closely monitor how much of each is being consumed.
I thought I would offer some variety but he wants his two favorites, thank you very much. I tried. The dogs love it as a topper.
my cat wont touch it, im desperatly trying to find a food she will eat
My cats are young, so I have them on a dry food diet for their dental health, and then provide a small serving of wet food everyday for extra hydration. They love their Diamond Naturals dry indoor cat food, but their favorite part of their day is waking up from their naps to run down the stairs and chow into their wet food. And the ingredients are great! Highly recommend.
So nearly every single can in the case was dented to some extent and I typically do not like feeding from dented cans. I tried a few anyway and the first can was eaten hesitantly, but the next can was refused, and so was the next. I can't be sure if maybe the first can was okay, and the others were tainted because of the dents? In addition to the dents I walked in the kitchen to find a huge line of ants marching towards this case of food and discovered several cans were actually dented so badly that they were open, and the ants were feasting.
Bonnie is 16 or older. She was a rescue years ago. Now that she is elderly, she has health issues showing up. She did not have a good start in life, poor thing! Her eating habits had been okay--not now! She is finicky with bowl disease syndrome and stomach upsets, dental problems. I should have paid more attention to cat food content before this. She is old but not at the end of her life. She wants to play and snuggle, wants to eat. I have been trying different brands. Some she is okay to try and some she won't touch. My vet suggested Diamond. Bonnie likes the Diamond can food and the dry. I feed both. I am relieved with Diamond brand because it is a better quality feed, one Bonnie will eat all up and seems to be easy on her stomach. Her bowels movements are solid again. No blood in her stool as before with store bought. I have to thank Diamond. Bonnie has been enjoying her dinner time ( a cat has to like it!) and I suspect she will live a couple more years now that Diamond helped. Thank you Diamond! MBW
I purchased these especially for our family of barn kittens. Want to keep them healthy and strong. The ingredients are very good and of highest quality. (Trip to the vet for neutering is on the horizon.)
Got this for our 2 new kittens they wouldn't even touch it, tried to feed it to our older cats, they won't touch it. I even hate to donate it because our cats didn't like it. 2 cans were opened in the box and had leaked out, so they were dried and moldy....not a great purchase for us....can't really recommend this food at all....we have 3 auto ships from chewy and this was definitely our 1st really bad food...
Started giving this to my 15yo cat since he can't chew properly anymore. He devours it! And it's organic, so no more smelly poops. Also affordable price for the quality.
I have two kitties, both adults. One will eat it, the other won't touch it. She's upset with me.
I bought this since it was around the same price per oz as another food I was feeding my kitty but would last us longer and was healthier for him. Unfortunately my usually not picky (fat) boy did not like this food. My foster kittens liked it, though, so I sent a few cans with them to their new home and I will donate the remainder of the case to my rescue.
