Great for active and growing German shepherd.
I like this food. I hope my dog likes it too but she cannot talk, she happily eats it however. She only eats until she is full due to the high protein content. Most dog food protein content is <30% which I find unacceptable. I like that rice is one of the main ingredients. German shepherds are known for sensitive tummies and the rice has helped her keep firm stools. Took a while to find the right dog food but I highly recommend this if you have a 50 lbs or larger dog.
Good but Gassy
Initially my almost one year old bernedoodle loved this. About two weeks in I noticed it's been giving him lots of gas, he's very thirsty all the time, and even regurgitating his food sometimes. I'm trying to use up the bag but he barely touches it-going to have to find something else. He's not usually picky so I'm not sure what the problem is with this. It seemed like a good choice, dairy free, pea free, etc...have to keep looking though.
Great quality for price
I started feeding this 8 years ago to my high energy dogs. They've thrived on it. We always get compliments on their coats. I do wish there was another protein option.
Good food- dog won’t touch it very long
I’m not sure why but everything I’ve bought from Diamond this past year my dog gets about halfway through the bad before she stops eating it entirely. We store it in an airtight container and haven’t noticed any mold… so I’m wondering if maybe the flavor or something in it goes back that doesn’t grow mold. Really sucks because I like the food, but she won’t continue to eat it.
Diarrhea situation
I bought this food to supplement my too skinny rescue pups diet in an effort to put some weight on him. I gave him only a small amount mixed in with his regular fresh food and it gave him loose stool he was not able to control resulting in accidents in the house.

My dogs like it but their gas has become so bad from this food that I have to take them off it. Both my dogs are pits. Hypnos is 6 and Zayne just made a year. The gas literally stinks up whatever room we’re in. It’s so bad.

We used to use a different type of dog food extremely high in protein and good stuff decided to look for a comparable yet cheaper brand, decided to go to chewy and check things out very satisfied with the prompt delivery and proper packaging. Super happy so far.
My dog has no problems with it
I have a 2 year old Belgian German Shepard. She’s not a picky eater. This is the second time I order this dog food and my dog seems to like it with no problems. She starts getting excited when I put the box inside the house and gets even more excited when I open it because she knows it’s food. Her poop it’s the same no diarrhea. Her energy it’s also the same. She acts the same since some foods do make an impact on the way a dog behaves. Just double check on ingredients that fit best for your dog.

My dog is a 7 generation blue Great Dane. She is by far the most picky eater I have ever dealt with. After speaking with her personal trainer we finally found a food that works with her over the top nonstop energy and this food is something she finally eats and isn’t picky with!! Literally could not be happier. The ingredients list is pretty good and one bag lasts us almost a month, give or take. For the price definitely worth it!
