I’m trying DE to get rid of my cats tapeworms. And I was wondering can I add it to wet cat food or does it need to be dry food?
Answer by • Jul 17, 2018
The type of food you are giving your cat will affect the way to give it to them. For wet food, remove the food from the can and add it to the dish. Then add the appropriate dose of DE and mix in. Cats may be skeptical of their dry cat food if it has a white powder on it, that's why we have developed these 2 methods for adding DE to your cat's food. First, take note of the number of servings in the bag of cat food. The DE will absorb the scent of the cat food and be almost indistinguishable from it allowing your cat to enjoy their food.
I am looking for a way to spread to spread diatomaceous earth on the cats and their bedding. I was told their is a "puffer" that will spread it more evenly. Can you help with that?
Answer by • Oct 16, 2018
If you are concerned about a larger area, such as the garage, carpets, rugs, or furniture, you may want to target those areas by using Diatomaceous Earth's applicators like the Wilcox 3 Quart duster. This duster is not available on Chewy at this moment.
Can I put this outside in my yard to get rid of fleas, will it work if it rains a lot?
Answer by • Mar 07, 2018
While this is safe to use outdoors in small quantities, it may disrupt the ecological balance of your yard by killing good insects as well as parasites. Rain is only detrimental to DE if it physically washes it away. If the DE is in the soil of your garden, it probably won't go too far and will resume working for you once it dries out. If you covered your patio to ward off ants, then you'll probably need to reapply as it would wash away in the rain.

Excellent! Strongly recommend!
I love this product and my 3 dogs do too! After researching info on flee/tick prevention both OTC and vet issued I immediately started searching for a natural unharmful prevention method/product! My son actually found this wonderfully amazing solution, DIATOMACEOUS!!!! We used it all summer long on my 29lb dog and quickly switched our 2 other pups that joined our family! ZERO SIDE EFFECTS! It feels nice on the fur and a nice unexpected asset was, he actually became more relaxed! Why Isn't This product used or even heard of by every pet owner??? You know the answer without my saying. I never write reviews but if just one dog or pet is helped by my share , it's worth all effort!
Get over the initial powder coating when first applied. It does dissipate and is well worth the avoidance of illnesses of other products.
Since my dog is short haired and Creme color, it was easy to detect ticks. I did find several on him that dried up and dead. Exactly what the competitors Do after first being in the bloodstream running through pets organs! Think! And then please try this product.

No more ants!!
We have a TNR feral cat that eats and sleeps in our shed. Every year we have an issue with ants and other bugs, not this year...not one ant! I sprinkled this stuff around her food bowl and water bowl and all over the floor, in the corners, along the doors. We also sprinkled in the areas she sleeps...and I have actually seen her rolling in it. I love that it's safe to use around her, even if she ingests it. I'll never be without it!
