Is it safe/non-toxic if a cat or dog licks it after it’s applied?

This mousse is not toxic if a pet licks it after application. It is recommend to let the product dry as long as possible to increase its effectiveness.
My dog has some open wounds from scratching so hard. Can you use this mousse on open wounds? I do not want it to burn.

Noticeable Difference

I'm not sure if it's this or the supplements I started him on at the same time, but I do notice a noticeable difference in his skin when I put this on, almost right away. He gets these hard crusts on his back and paws, and they soften right up and seem to flatten with repeated use of this. Another great mousse from Douxo, I swear by them!

soothing mousse

probably one of the best products for itchy skin. My pit mix has had allergies since she was a pup. This product calms the itch and soothes any spots she has been scratching at. I have tried every topical out there. This stuff works and smells great...!!

Douxo S3 to calm the skin

Recommended by my veterinarian. Use sometimes on my poodles to calm any itchy skin. Seems to really help.

stinks. makes dog smell worse

I have this to use with other Duoxo products. I have no idea if it works as my dog is on proper medication since I bought it. The orange range did not work. All the products stink very sickly strong and artificial. They make his natural odour smell worse and everything he sleeps on. I use the range on his feet as he has allergies and has had fungal infection. The smell made him smell worse than the fungal infection. It doesn’t mix with the smell. His feet are better since a flare up but I can’t say it this helped. The orange range did nothing.

Oberon loves his belly lotion

Oberon is an older gent, 9 year old Tosa Inu with large patches of allergic dermatitis that were rough and itchy. We have taken a multi-modal approach and started apoquel, Zesty Paws pre-pro-postbiotics and Douxos3 calm mousse. He loves, loves getting his belly rubbed with this mousse and his rough patches are all but gone. No more endless scratching and he smells wonderful. Oberon says thank you

Short term relief in-between shampoos

This was suggested to us (by vet) to be used along with meds & an allergy shampoo. This was to be applied daily in-between shampooing (2xs/week). My dog has a tight triple coat and with that said... The mousse can't get down completely onto his skin. Once dry, it's stiff. The "calm" is brief lived, only lasting a few hours. For mild skin allergies this may be a suitable "patch" in your allergy regime and a fine choice but for more severe situations such as ours this was not the answer.

Review of anti itch foam

Did not work, used most of it in a couple uses. Tried a smaller amount then a bigger amount- same thing. No results.
