Washable is really nice

I like these mats a lot and have bought several over the years. I like that you can wash them easily. Just don’t dry them in the dryer, because the rubber backing

I like these mats a lot and have bought several over the years. I like that you can wash them easily. Just don’t dry them in the dryer, because the rubber backing will be destroyed. I’ve washed my mats a bunch of times this way, and they have stayed in good condition. I like that they are carpet, because my cats don’t mind stepping on them. Unlike some of the plastic kind, which my cats just leap over, showering litter all over the room.

It’s waterproof all right, but it won’t last long

It traps litter very well. It traps liquid very well. Almost too well. I had no idea how often my angry cat (not angry at the mat, it’s another unrelated story)

It traps litter very well. It traps liquid very well. Almost too well. I had no idea how often my angry cat (not angry at the mat, it’s another unrelated story) was peeing on it instead of the litter box until the smell became pungent. The backing, though it seems very flimsy, protected my wood floors well. However, I could not get the smell out. I cleaned it multiple times with a pet urine enzyme cleaner, no dice. I absolutely waited too long, and that’s my fault. It survived its first washing machine trip, too. However, I made the mistake of using the hygiene wash feature, and the backing completely came off. I suspect that even with gentle wash cycles, the backing won’t last more than a handful of washes, which is why I’m knocking the review down. That being said, if your primary concern is litter tracking, this is a great mat. It’s easy to vacuum and absolutely does its job well in that regard. I just don’t trust it to hold up in the washing machine more than 4-5x.

This is plenty big for my huge hooded litter box I have for my two furry boys! The ridges really do capture the litter. You have at least 2 ways of cleaning it. You can vacuum it quite easily or you can sweep the litter off with a broom. It’s VERY easy to clean with either method. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it’s a little thinner than I expected. However, for $21, if it lasts me even 1-2 years I’ll be happy. My cats aren’t hard on anything so I don’t see why it wouldn’t hold up a while. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase. It makes things so much easier on me just to sweep the litter off, instead of having to take it outside and bang it against the brick or break out my vacuum. The cat litter doesn’t get stuck in the ridges of the mat either. It very easily sweeps away. My cats really do like the texture as the last one we had, they’d hop from the litter box to the main floor just to avoid it. Little persnickety monsters! Now they happily go from the box to the mat without any issues. I got the largest one, and as I stated above, the XL is more than enough space for a very large litter box. If you’re uncertain, just take some measurements to make sure it’ll suit your needs. Unlike my last litter mat, it doesn’t bunch up when you have to roll a vacuum onto it. It has fairly good backing on it that makes it stay firmly in place when running your vacuum over the mat. So, give this a shot. Not only will it make your life easier with super simple clean ups, your fur-babies will be happy because of the soft texture, gentle ridges, and cleaner paws!

Easy to clean

While this doesn’t trap ALL the litter, it is catching quite a bit. I have tried several litter catchers and this one is specifically easy to clean. I like that

While this doesn’t trap ALL the litter, it is catching quite a bit. I have tried several litter catchers and this one is specifically easy to clean. I like that the carpet catches it but I can shake it off outside and it just comes off. Highly recommend, and I will be purchasing more!
