Feliway MultiCat is a synthetic copy of the feline pheromone from the mammary gland area after a mother gives birth to bond with kittens. By mimicking the cat’s natural pheromones, Feliway creates a state of calmness and comfort to alleviate tension and conflict between cats. As a result, Feliway can be used to help reduce tension and conflict in multi-cat households.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the Feliway diffuser refills fit other brands of diffuser systems?
No. The Feliway refills should never be used with another brand of a diffuser device. The pheromone technology is designed to work at a certain temperature that is specific to Feliway diffusers.
My 18-year-old tuxie would prefer to be an only cat, but she has to share her home with a 3-year-old tabby. The Feliway multi-cat is a helpful part of keeping the peace. They are calmer around each other when the diffuser is plugged in. The Feliway on its own doesn't work miracles- it didn't make my girls become BFFs - but there is a noticeable difference in how tense they are sharing living space.
Vet recommended trying
on Apr 20, 2018
My Vet recommended this product for one of my aggressive Snow-Shoe Siamese boys. He also stated it did not help with one of his aggressive males as well but was worth a try. I have purchased many of these but honestly don't think it makes a difference despite have many of these throughout the house. I have friends that swear on the product that its helps their multi-cat homes. Despite the fact I do not see any improvement, I STILL hold on to hope that maybe one more time will make a difference. I have purchased this product from Amazon.com for much more money so was happy to see it for less at Chewy.com. May or may not keep purchasing this.
Discord among the felines
on Apr 8, 2018
When one of our cats goes to the vet, he comes home and another of our boys suddenly doesn't recognize him. He gets hostile and wants to attack. This went on for weeks. Feliway Multi was recommended by a breeder and also a vet. Well it worked! I plugged it in and within 2 days we had peace again. Now I keep a refill on hand. Chewy has the best price.
Not working for us
on Feb 25, 2018
I can't call the product bad but it just isn't working in our multi-cat household. We have a 13-year old cat and 2 4-month old kittens. The kittens are fascinated by the older cat and don't leave her alone despite reprimands from us and from her. They aren't vicious, just persistent.
We're going to go for 3 months before accepting defeat. Maybe it's just taking longer to kick in for our cats.

Recommended by my Vet...my rescued pet was left outside 20 hrs a day and rarely fed or loved. He adopted us when we started feeding him and has slowly progressed into becoming a member of our family. This product has helped tremdously with calming and lowering his anxiety while he is being introduced to his roommate....refills for diffuser lasts about twenty days and I have four in the areas where socialization occurs. Purchasing this product online is more economical than at the Vet (50% higher) and has saved me lots of $ especaially when you auto order. I installed this product and did not introduce pets until diffusers worked for two days. Transitioning is much easier.
I cannot recommend

I have tried this several times throughout the lifespan of my cats and don't notice much of a difference when it's on or off. The aggression levels remain fairly high regardless. I doubt I'll continue purchasing it.

I had aquired a very nasty feral torti cat who I brought with me when I moved to ky. Her name is Marlena. She was horrible. I saw the pheromones on chewy and decided to try them. Amazing. As soon as I plugged in the pheramones she became a lot more relaxed and happy and calm. I can tell when the jar is empty because she begins hissing again. A little expensive but we'll worth the money.
Stick With It

I wouldn't have believed it was working until after a few weeks of normalcy my cats started fighting more than normal. I realized the diffuser was empty. The results aren't instant they do take some time, the key is patience both with your kitties and with the Feliway.

All of my cats have been neutered/spayed, yet there are 4 cats that tend to have some bitter cat fights and they tend to bully the smaller cats. The directions on Feliway MultiCat is to try it for 3 consecutive months so they have time to change their behavior. We are nearing the end of month 2, and I am still having to break up cat fights, some quite severe, though I do believe that it is not as bad as it used to be before I started using it. Every cat is different and I would encourage you to at least try it for the full three months to see if it works for your cats. I am hoping that by the end of month 3, it will have calmed them down more than it has. My vet suggested this product for my cat...she becomes nervous whenever anything in our home changes...this product actually works to calm her down.
