Best clumping litter
I love grass litter and the Frisco brand is just as good as another brand I used to buy and it's cheaper! I have 2 litter robots and one regular litter box. I mix clay and grass litter in the robots. You have to use more clay than grass because grass doesn't weigh enough to be used in the robots. I have 1 cat that has elimination issues and used to use the robots all the time, but stopped. So back to a regular litter box and now all the cats use the non robot one. This litter clumps extremely well and I have no issues with it sticking to the bottom of the pans. It pops right up.
LOVE This Kitty Litter!
No chemicals, dyes, perfumes, or toxic clay to inhale. Texture is fine and soft for paws. Clumps for easy and thorough cleaning of litter box. Color is pleasing (not dark, depressing), and is lightweight for us to lift. Previously used Hartz Paper Clumping litter, but sadly it was discontinued. Tried numerous other paper litters, but none checked all the boxes until this one. Non-toxic for cats respiratory health (and ours), soft fine texture for paws, lightweight to lift, pleasant color, and clumps for easy cleaning.
why didn't I try this sooner?
I keep a litter box in my office and it occurred to me recently that I am breathing in all the dust that I'm constantly wiping up everywhere in here. I mean, I'm in here 40+ hours a week, which can't be good, right? So I started looking for alternatives and found this. It's perfect! Cats took right to it (they may even like it too much, as they've largely stopped using the other household boxes with scoopable clay), it clumps really well, it's easy to lift and pour (even in the largest bag), does as good a job of odor control as the Frisco scoopable unscented, and best of all... no dust! (Or at least there won't be any when we finish transitioning, but already lots less.) Yes, it makes a mess, but this particular box is several rugs away from the main part of the house, and I'm used to sweeping litter daily anyway, so no big deal there! Great stuff!
I absolutely hate this litter. I normally use Tea Potty, another natural litter but it’s been out. This litter sticks to the littler box and is tough to get off. It doesn’t clump quickly so the pee spreads and the area ends up being a large stuck on mess to get off. It doesn’t absorb odors at all. The tiny pieces get tracked everywhere. For some reason my dogs are attracted to it and eat it. It gets stuck to the roof of their mouthes like peanut butter.
Low Dust and Excellent Odor Control
I've been trying various non-clay type litters, and the last one created a massive cloud of dust that covered everything. I tried the Grass Litter and it had little to no discernable dust. It also controls the ammonia smell very well, which was an issue I had with a different natural type litter. Overall, I'll be sticking with this long term, no more looking!!
I’ve been using grass seed litter for years now. It’s the only variety that I’ve found not full of perfume and super dusty. It clumps really well, isn’t heavy like clay litter, and is agreeable to my cat.
Definitely Don't Buy
The litter smells weird by itself, after using, it does not have any odor control. It also sticks to the bottom of the tray and very hard to scoop. My cat does not even want to touch it
Bugs in litter?
I love this litter. No dust, clumps well and I don’t have an issue with smell. It tracks badly but I have mats that mostly mitigate this issue. Tonight as I was changing out the boxes I noticed small black bugs??? In the litter. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on and if I should be worried. To be clear- if it’s bugs they are dead. A friend and I tried inspecting it but couldn’t figure out what’s going on.
If only it did not track so much
I love almost everything about this litter. It clumps hard, almost dust free, controls odor, but... tracks like crazy. It is so light I find it everywhere the cats go after they go! How I wish my cats would poop in the Feline Pine pine pellets! Will definitely buy again because of their health is more important than my having to sweep every time I clean their litter boxes, though I will keep on trying with FP pellets. If you do not mind sweeping or vacuuming often, I recommend it.
Really good litter
I love this litter. I scoop 9 boxes everyday and this litter has made it a lot easier. It clumps hard so there is less moisture left in the box. I have two cats who have smelly urine and I cannot smell it anymore. And I have been checking for the dust to cover everything around and it does not. I also wonder if it will grow grass in the yard -HAHA.
