Quality is bad now

We have been buying this toy for our cat for years, and it's been fantastic. but the past 3 times we've ordered it in the past 6 months, it's broken within 48 hours

We have been buying this toy for our cat for years, and it's been fantastic. but the past 3 times we've ordered it in the past 6 months, it's broken within 48 hours. The seams come apart after some mild/moderate play time, and it ends up falling apart. I am very disappointed about this because it's served us so well for so long. And most of the new toys have metal clasps which is not good for my cat's teeth. It's hard to find a similar toy to this one, but I guess I'll have to start looking...

Just please be sure you are supervising your pet even during play time. Any cat toy that has feathers are fake feathers (plastic) dipped in dye which can be very harmful to pets. My cat is a chewr so I had to cut the feathers off to prevent any intestinal blockage. I left the ribbons on since he is heavily supervised. But I do not recommend these kind of toys to your cats if your cat is a heavy chewer that actually swallows it

I put this darn toy on autoship because my cats manage to destroy it every time within 24-36 hours, and yet: they like playing with its little furry corpse after they eat the feathers off it (very weakly connected) and chew the ribbons to shreds (nobody's swallowed one yet, I just trim them down when they're on their last legs). We named it Owly and occasionally we find the hollow, disgusting bodies of Owlys past who were loved and licked to shreds. Best cat toy ever.

My cat Albert is two years old and he loves this so much that I had to buy two of them one of them I took off the stick so he can run around with it in his mouth!!

A favorite toy but no longer high quality

Purchased years ago, this was my cat’s favorite toy. The old owl’s wings are missing, neck is partly severed, but it’s indestructible and still in daily rotation

Purchased years ago, this was my cat’s favorite toy. The old owl’s wings are missing, neck is partly severed, but it’s indestructible and still in daily rotation. I purchased three of these thinking they would last well into the future but the first one broke on the second day of play, with the cap holding the string disconnecting from the wand after a light tug. I will try supergluing it together, I guess, but we were disappointed.

Both cats love anything dangling on a stick or rod and they move to jump madly trying to capture it and then drag it away. They will drag those types of toys upstairs

They will drag those types of toys upstairs and back down to the gameroom and if the stick has two danglers they will each grab one end and run in two different directions, which is too funny to watch.

We actually purchased another one because our cats love it so much and it’s so cheap, but i’d rather pay more for one that stays together. We will be supergluing the old one back together but i doubt that’ll work well.

My kitten, Bartleby, is really playful and likes different toys, but ever since we got this one, he seems annoyed if we get one of the other cat wands out at playtime

My kitten, Bartleby, is really playful and likes different toys, but ever since we got this one, he seems annoyed if we get one of the other cat wands out at playtime. It's obvious he just wants this one and at one point even walked back to where it was stored until we got it out. It's the perfect size and density for him - I think it feels like he's actually hunting something vs other toys that are a bit too insubstantial. The elastic string is durable (he's bitten it a few times) and has a great bounce which gets him really jumping and active as he chases it. Lots of fun. Already bought a second one for when he wears this one out.
