I mistook this toy for the original Cat Dancer which I have ordered several times in the past. It held up well and didn't disappoint. This version from Frisco is not only a cheap and disappointing imitation because the wire does not perform as the original; it is dangerous. Within a couple of weeks of receiving, the cardboard began unraveling and shedding into small pieces as shown in the photo. I ordered a replacement thinking it was an outlier and the same thing happened. This presents a clear choking risk. Whatever you do, find an authentic Cat Dancer as I did on Amazon. It will give your kitty hours of safe fun!
I have ordered these wire teaser cat toys for years. My cats love them! However, this time they weren't the same. The wire is different. Not as strong, doesn't move around well. It's feels like a lesser quality product. I ordered three and they are all the same. I had thrown the old wire away as it was pretty beaten up but ended up digging it out of the garbage.
While I wish the wire was longer, My newest group of cats love this toy more than any of the fishing poles that the older cats liked. If you have ferals that you need to warm up to you ,,this toy will help so you can interact with them.
Our cats love this!! We do have to be careful to hide it when we are not playing with them as I am afraid the kitten would get the wire around her neck. If you are willing to be careful, it's a great toy.
This is a knock-off of the Cat Dancer (Google it. You will find it.) This knock-off is almost useless. The wire is wrong. It is hard to control. It does not move the way the Cat Dancer moves. I threw it away and bought another Cat Dancer.
Inexpensive, simple and they move by themselves. I’ve lived with 13 cats over the years, and every one responds to this toy.
My newly adopted cat is terrified of poles, even ones with a toy attached. The wire isn't scary at all and he attacks the cardboard with enthusiasm. Occasionally he grabs the wire.
My cat didn’t like this toy- it didn’t live up to reviews. He never played with it. My biggest problem is with Chewy sending this little toy in a massive box! No need, get some mailers for smaller items.
Both of my cats love this toy. I have one that is very playful that will play with anything. I have another that's not as keen on a lot of toys. They both play with this constantly. We have had it for quite some time, and they have yet to get bored of it. I also appreciate that it is made of wire and some type of cardboard material. I don't have to worry about my cats ripping off a piece and eating it. It is an issue with most toys on the market. I would really love if more cat toys would take that into account.
This is the only toy our cat has any interest in. She never gets tired of it and keeps her entertained for quite some time. It's a simple thing and cheap, but she loves it! I need to order more next time to always have a backup on hand!
