Scratching is on, on the double! This dual scratcher from Frisco by Chewy is made of layers of pressed wavy cardboard that shreds easily under your cat’s claws without pulling, and is just the right size for one or two. Let your buddy keep busy scratching, it’s not a cat’s way of slacking—it helps support nail health and satisfy an instinctive urge that feels good for felines. Also, it helps keep claws off your furniture. A packet of catnip is included for an added chill (or thrill) factor.

My cats love these cardboard scratchers. They can't get enough of it and sometimes an aggressive queue forms because they all want a turn. I usually only have one out at a time because my oldest cat while he also loves the scratchers after so long passes he decides to pee on it. And the scratcher lasts much longer if I can keep him from doing that. It lasts a pretty good amount of time especially if its the reversible ones. Highly recommend it. It may just be cardboard but its cardboard that makes my cats extra happy.
One of my sister's cats (my "great-niece") really likes these scratchers. She is not especially a catnip lover, but does love to rake her front nails on the scratcher, and does so multiple times per day. She also likes to sleep on it. (We refer to the scratcher as her "bed of nails," although there's nothing sharp or harmful about it. It's made of stiff cardboard, I think). I've been buying one of these scratchers for my feline "great-niece" every 10 months or so, for years, and will continue to do so. It's lightweight, not expensive, and seems to make her happy.
Scratching on furniture is Lazy Parenting. These wonderful scratch pads deal with their urge to sharpen their claws, and they don't bother my sofa! They like the narrower ones, of course, but these double-wides are GREAT for my larger cats (I've got 2 Maine Coons) and they destroy the smaller ones fast. These last longer, are easier for them to use, and I LOVE them!
The description states Double-Wide. It is about the size of a regular plus maybe a half. I have had the larger scratchers from Kong. They are double the size of a regular scratcher. For the price, I will order the Kong brand which is a true double wide.
I have a multi-cat house hold and many of the cats are special needs. I purchased this item because the cat scratcher I usually purchase was out of stock. I am very pleased with this scratcher and purchased six more for the cats! The scratcher is priced reasonable and holds up well in my multi-cat house hold!
I have a pretty new and young cat who is very active. She has been pretty rough on me and my possessions. These cat scratchers have saved my furniture from her aggressive attacks. They're easy to get, inexpensive and easy to replace when needed.
I've repeatedly bought these over the years. When they get worn I flip them over and then when they're completely shredded I replace them. They are pretty sturdy and reasonably priced for me who is low income.
Really like that the cardboard insert is heavy & stands up to my cat's scratching. Rated it lower cuz my cat is just starting to try it out. Wouldn't go near it at first despite catnip sprinkles. But then won't use the scratching post I bought at all.
I made the mistake last time of buying cardboard scratchers that weren't enclosed in a box - what a catnip/cardboard mess.... Now I'm back to this type and it's so much better! This brand is every bit as good as the name brand I paid more for last time. Got a great black Friday deal on three! :)
I opened the chewy box and put the cat scratcher (wrapped in cellophane) on my kitchen counter. Next thing I hear is crinkling and I turn around to see my long-haired tortoise shell "imp", Lulu, sitting on the scratcher and taking off the cellophane so she can get to the cardboard! I'd say it's a hit!
