Is this organic?

Answer by MontMay 29, 2024
Yes, the seeds are and it's up to you to feed organic compost tea to keep them that well. Put your compost (bananas, greens, onion skins, coffee grounds, powder egg shells, etc.) Add a touch of baking soda to acidic soils, vinegar if alkaline. In bucket add hot water and let set overnight and you have compost tea!!! Just keep adding water when you run low on tea. Keep and add more ingredients from waste and you have a consistent organic fertilizer !

Is this from china?

Once grown, how long does it last & should it be transplanted?

Answer by ChewyFeb 27, 2024
Sprouts wither naturally over time and it varies from batch to batch. We recommend placing the container on a small saucer before watering. Once growth is visible, leave the container open and move to a sunny location.

Finn and Leroy love the grass! I thought it was super easy and they thought it was super tasty! I only added about half the seeds to the container for the first go - to make it last longer! I definitely think that investing in a sturdier pot would be a great way to make the experience better. My boys were pushing the plastic container all over the floor. But for the price point - this is great!

We were down to the last can of food. The delivery said 3 more days. And then I got the notice it had been delivered. Plus, Tommy seems to like eating my plants, so we got him some kitty grass. He loves it, and it was ready for him to eat in three days!

Grows well, lasts long

My kitten absolutely LOVES this. I’ve tried 1 other brand so far and he wouldn’t touch that one but he turned feral for this brand (in a good way lol). He’s a string/anything that resembles a string eater so this was a great distraction from that. It grew quickly and lasted about 1 month before it starting wilting. The only downside/reason for 1 less star is the pot that it comes with. Once he ate enough grass, the grass+soil became lightweight and he would pull it out of the pot and toss it around like confetti.

My youngest cat likes it. The only issue is it keeps coming out of the little tray whenever she pulls at it and so the grass always ends up somewhere on the floor

My youngest cat likes it. The only issue is it keeps coming out of the little tray whenever she pulls at it and so the grass always ends up somewhere on the floor lol I think I'd need to replant it in a heavier pot to keep it from tipping.

As long as you follow the instructions you will have a container full of oat grass. My female cat over indulged the first time. I allowed only a few blades the next time around and she was much better. She can not get enough! I will definitely buy it again.
