The Frisco Unscented Odor Defense Clumping Cat Litter is formulated to use less litter per clump. It's odor defense mechanism is also automatically activated and immediately reduces ammonia. Frisco Multi-Cat Clumping Cat Litter is highly effective in multiple cat households. It’s hypo-allergenic to common allergens such as dust, plant proteins and fragrances.

Winner

For years we have used Arm and Hammer clumping cat litter. Perhaps they changed the formula but lately it almost gets gummy and is hard to get out of the litter pan (not to mention heavy). We use an under the bed storage container as the cat litter box and was putting in a 40 lb box of the Arm and Hammer at a time. Because of how gummy it gets with the urine, we are having to use 80 lbs a month. We took a chance and ordered the Friscoe after having read the reviews which were mixed. We are super excited with the results. We have less dust, scoops easily, firm clumps (not gummy), clumps are contained, controls the odor, and seems to last longer. It is more economical too! Our rescues did not have any issue with changing over so we are super happy about that as well. We did not try any of the other Friscoe litter line so we can only say what we have experienced with this one. It's a winner in our book! Thanks Chewy!

Best litter I’ve ever used

I’m very sensitive to smells, and can smell when people have cats when they use some litters. The smell of the litter box is strong to me. This litter is the best I’ve ever used. If I can smell my own cat I know the litter is not good. This hides the smell so well. It isn’t dusty and clumps tightly. My only complaint is packaging. The bag is heavy and awkward. I would love if it were in a plastic jug with a handle, or even smaller 5lb bags. It would just be so much more manageable in my opinion.

No Tight Clumps Here

Unfortunately, I didn’t experience the tight clumps many other reviewers mentioned. My poor 16-year-old boy experienced clay boots instead. I’m still trying to remove the muddy clay from all of his paws after returning home from work as it’s caked on thick during his use today. I’m glad others have had success, but it’s a definite no for my boys.

Approved by every creature

I've been through too many kinds of litter in the last year for my crew of 4. One kind that one of my cats refused to use, so he started pooping / peeing towels. One kind that tracked so horribly, I could track their footprints directly from the box to my bed, or to my desk, or to my counter. Another that covered every surface in my apartment with a fine powder. But this is the best I have found! Tracking: 5-stars. This litter tracks very little - very little ends up outside my bathroom where I have the main box. Of the heavy clay litters I have used, this probably tracks the least! Dust: 5-stars. No appreciable amount of dust when refilling or scooping the box. Cat Interest: 5-stars. I didn't need to do any transition, because they had their old box with their old litter in another location. And my crew immediately starting using this like 95% of the time. My only ding is that one of my bags was already sliced open (it didn't burst, it was sliced), which appears to have happened at the warehouse before shipping to me. Bags are just not as secure as boxes. Last comment is about weight.... this litter does not claim to be lightweight, and it should not. But it does seem a bit lighter than other clay litters I have used, by volume. Maybe 20% lighter? Anyway, is a great litter, and I HIGHLY recommend!

Liked it better before

Something must have changed because before the dust did seem to be low and everything was good about it, but I stopped buying this brand when dust was everywhere. I wouldn’t want to breathe that in, and figured cats shouldn’t have to either. I wish it would be like it used to be because the price is good and it clumped well.

Odor control

I usually just get regular clumping and don't really get odor control types of litter, but the odor control aspect works pretty well. The kits cover it and after 5 mins, you don't really smell it.

Not the best, not the worse

I didn't get "tight clumps", my cats were okay with it, they went in right after I poured in. The dusty free was 100% good. No tracking. I just wish the clumping was better.

Good so far

Just got this today. My 10 year old super picky cat approved. No dust when pouring. No oder when the cat used it.it is very heavy. This will be my go-to litter. Thank you, Chewy!

Frisco Unscented Clumping Clay Cat Litter, 35-lb bag

I really like the Frisco Litter. It is so much cheaper than other brands when you're on a budget. Wouldn't mind having it in a 40-lb bag. This litter clumps really well. I can add litter as needed so I don't have to change it as much.

Dust cloud

I purchased several different varieties of Chewy's brand litter, Frisco to try it out. Worst purchase ever! It claims to be low dust. Wrong!!! The dust is horrible.
