To clean, twist the bottle counterclockwise to unlock. Unscrew black Lid and rinse the bottle and allow to air dry.

Mold central

There is a random and useless open area all around the back under the plastic rim that will collect water but doesn’t dump out. Cleaning requires completely disassembling

There is a random and useless open area all around the back under the plastic rim that will collect water but doesn’t dump out. Cleaning requires completely disassembling the plastic rim from the bowl part which is a pain and doesn’t feel right, but if you don’t, that old water will just sit in there and slime/mold/stink. I’ll use it til the plastic rim breaks while I’m trying to get it off to clean to secret mold compartment.

Does the job, but is not people user friendly as far as getting the bottle off to fill, and putting it back into place after its filled is worse! Would not recommend

The 2.5 capacity is more than my cat can drink in a month (1.5 would be better). Filling it to capacity makes it difficult to handle. I dropped it and half the water spilled out. You have to fill it then attach it to the base then flip it upside down. 2.5 gallons weighs a lot! It would be easier to use if you could fill it from the top. I’ll only be filling it handful full to make it easier to use (which is more than my cat can drink in a month!

Holds a lot of water, stays clean

I have a big 80lb+ dog and this stays full, fresh and contained for a day or two. Easy to clean and refill. Definitely needs strength to lift, but worth it.
