Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 90 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

What is the difference between Frontline Gold and Frontline Plus?
Answer by ChewyJun 03, 2020
Both products are effective against ticks, fleas, and lice in both immature and adult versions. The only difference is that Frontline Gold kills fleas faster than Frontline Plus does. Frontline Gold has added a powerful third ingredient, pyriproxyfen which helps to kill the next generation of flea eggs and larvae before they can develop in to adult fleas. Both products require monthly applications and are safe to use in all dogs and puppies above 8 weeks of age.

Does the fle/tick have to bite the dog before the medication works i.e. the medication is systemically absorbed and flea/tick must ingest rather than just coming into skin contact before it is lethal?
Answer by ChewySep 25, 2017
This treatment kills fleas and ticks through contact with your pet's haircoat, no biting is necessary.

Does Frontline contain Isoxazoline?
Answer by ChewyMay 25, 2020
This flea and tick treatment does not contain Isoxazoline. For a complete ingredient list, click on the 'Ingredients' tab, just under the product photos.

How many months do you need to apply frontline plus.
Answer by ChewyAug 15, 2018
This treatment is available in 3 doses or 6 doses which provides 3 months of protection or 6 months of protection. The amount needed depends on the severity of the infestation. In a study, FRONTLINE Plus began killing fleas 4 hours after application. Another study showed that within 12 hours, Frontline Plus killed 100% of fleas.

Don't do it !

I am beyond disgusted at this product. I have used this for many years. Just having applied to my dog 4 days ago. I have now seen fleas and he has had 3 attached live ticks. I just removed one tick that exploded blood all over my dog and myself. After cleaning him up I noticed a second tick right next to the first one who was also alive. I am so heart broken at hurting my baby and also letting a company sell me a product that is obviously no longer effective. Calling my vet tomorrow to see what I can use since this was applied 4 days ago. Don't buy this if you love your dogs. I highly regret spending all this money on a useless product. Hopefully my dog will not get lyme.

Works great!

I've been using Frontline on my dogs for years. Ever since I started putting it on them, they have been 100% free from fleas, ticks, etc. I'm very happy with it, and happy with Chewy's competitive prices.

Great Product

Frontline has kept my dog flea and tick free for over 4 years now. As far as I can tell, it has no detrimental effects on my pooch. I also appreciate its prompt delivery from CHEWY when I order it.

Do not buy, go to your vet!

I bought this product with the understanding it is effective. However, Frontline plus is no longer effective against fleas, at least in the northeast. Fleas have developed resistance, and my poor dog suffered for a whole month before I was able to get them under control. What you need is Frontline Gold, only available at your veterinarian.

Super fast service

Ordering was easy, the price was the best, and delivery was super fast. I've been using this product for years and my dog has never had a tick. We live in the northeast where there are plenty of ticks, too.

Fantastic product

We live in the country and our dogs are free to run thru the woods, etc. Never a flea, tick, etc. on them.

Looking good

It’s hard to say much about flea and tick treatment. I mean, it isn’t something you can physically see. It was easy to apply, it didn’t bother the dog and best of all it’s been about 2 weeks and there are no fleas or ticks to be seen.
