Learn More About Frontline Plus From Our Team of Experts

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 90 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Fast-Acting, Long-Lasting Protection

Frontline Plus is formulated with two active ingredients that kill fleas and ticks and prevent new flea infestations from developing. It’s waterproof 24 hours after application, lasts for a full 30 days, and comes in formulas for cats or dogs.

Easy One-Spot Topical Application

Frontline Plus is a spot-on solution that’s available without a prescription. 1 dose = 30 days of protection.

Protects Your Pet

  • Starts killing fleas and ticks fast and protects against reinfestation.
  • Waterproof for a full 30 days starting 24 hours after application.
  • Monthly dosing keeps your dog protected for every season.

How to Apply

Follow these simple steps for application:

  1. Hold upright with foil side toward you and snap applicator tip.
  2. Part hair and apply on shoulder blades, completely emptying the pipette.
  3. Leave the solution to spread through your pet's coat.

About Frontline Plus

To ensure your dog stays protected from fleas and ticks all year round, treat them monthly with Frontline Plus. This simple, easy, one-spot topical solution helps keep your pet free from infestations, providing you with peace of mind.

How long should I wait to apply Frontline Plus before or after a bath??

Answer by ChewySep 24, 2018
If FRONTLINE Plus is to be applied after a bath, make sure your pet is completely dry before application. FRONTLINE Plus remains effective for 30 days, even if your pet swims or is bathed. After application, keep your pet from getting wet for 24 hours.

How soon after applying this product should we expect to find no live fleas on our dogs? If we are still finding live fleas, how soon is it safe and advisable to apply a second treatment?

I have a 130lb Rot. He spends many days at the barn, hanging with the farm pets. Frontline appears to work. Our dog has never had a problem, with fleas, ticks, etc. Due to my dogs size and the farm pets, I do two treatments, twice a month. I figure if a little bit works, then more is better!

I've had success with this brand for years. Charlie had a stroke and has Canine Cognitive Disorder that happened before I rescued him from CraigsList. I think he fell victim to the oral version of tick and flea medication. I only ranked it a four star because of price. It gets the job done and unfortunely for me I have to use it because neighbor cats frequent my back yard regularly to use my garden as their litter box.

Oversize packaging

The item could have fit in an envelope, instead of a medium size box. I make a conscious effort to reduce and recycle and shop accordingly
