Important Information
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

We source all our products from manufacturer approved distributors or directly from the manufacturers. Chewy takes pride in ensuring that our furry friends’ wellbeing is always our top priority. We have worked hard to partner with all of the manufactures to deliver 100% authentic products
How does FRONTLINE Plus kill fleas and ticks?
FRONTLINE Plus has 2 secret weapons: fipronil and (S)-methoprene. Once FRONTLINE Plus is applied, this combo stores itself in the oil glands in your pet's skin. It then self-distributes continuously for 1 month to your pet's hair and skin through the hair follicles. Fleas or ticks that come in contact with your pet are dead meat.
How long does it take for FRONTLINE Plus to kill fleas?
In a study, FRONTLINE Plus began killing fleas 4 hours after application.1 Another study showed that within 12 hours, Frontline Plus killed 100% of fleas.2
Do fleas and ticks have to bite my pet for FRONTLINE Plus to work?
No. FRONTLINE Plus kills fleas and ticks through contact with your pet's haircoat. No biting necessary.
Why am I seeing more fleas on my pet after applying FRONTLINE Plus?
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's haircoat as they die. So if you start seeing more fleas after treating your pet, consider it a victory for the killing force.
After using FRONTLINE Plus, I still see fleas in my home. Why?
The fleas you see most likely started as flea eggs that were deposited in the environment before you began using FRONTLINE Plus. Consecutive monthly applications of FRONTLINE Plus will assist with the elimination of an indoor flea life cycle. In some geographical regions in the United States, it may be required to use the product year-round.
Does FRONTLINE Plus have an expiration date?
No. As long as you keep it at room temperature and sealed in its original packaging, FRONTLINE Plus will remain ready for battle.
How long after application can my pet be bathed or go swimming?
FRONTLINE Plus remains effective for 30 days, even if your pet swims or is bathed. After application, keep your pet from getting wet for 24 hours. If FRONTLINE Plus is to be applied after a bath, make sure your pet is completely dry before application.
Can I use it if my pet is on medication?
Before using FRONTLINE Plus, ask your vet about possible interactions with any medications your dog is taking.
Can I use FRONTLINE Plus if I have already applied another flea and tick control product?
Before using, consult your veterinarian.
Does FRONTLINE Plus kill anything else besides fleas and ticks?
You bet. FRONTLINE Plus also kills chewing lice.
Can FRONTLINE Plus be used on pets other than dogs and cats?
No. FRONTLINE Plus should be used on dogs and cats only. There are specific products based on what kind of pet you have and how much it weighs. Be sure to use the right product for your pet.
Can I apply it more than once a month?
Don't reapply FRONTLINE Plus before the month is through. It keeps working for a full 30 days.
How old does my pet need to be in order to have FRONTLINE Plus applied?
At 8 weeks your pet can start benefiting from the power of FRONTLINE Plus.

Frontline Flea Treatment
By GrandmaG on Jan 5, 2021
Frontline is the ONLY brand of Flea Treatment I spend money on. It's the best! The other thing about this particular order is that it was a replacement. The first box came to me partially opened, so I contacted Chewy.com to let them know. In a short week, I had this replacement box of treatments; Chewy didn't even ask any questions. .they just completely showed WHY I order my little Bentley's needs ONLY from Chewy. Thank you CHEWY!

By Doggrandma on Jan 6, 2021
Over a week since used it and still have fleas doesn't seem to work as well as the one I get from the vet. Have been told over the counter ones don't work as well as they are weaker will be picking them up from the vet. I have three small house dogs it should have worked on one of them .but been happy with everything else I order from chewy!

Bye bye fleas
By Roscoe on Nov 10, 2020
We stayed at a 3 star motel in Santa Cruz, and the motel gave my sister and me fleas! We were scratching like nobody’s business! Grr! So my mom bought Frontline from Chewy and applied it on me and my sister, Halo. The next morning, I was feeling much better. My sister, a Pomeranian was still itchy but not because of the fleas. She had a reaction to the shampoo my mom used. Sigh. My mom swears by Frontline. She has used other products before, and even the flea collars, and oral flea remedies, but she always comes back to Frontline. Yes, it’s pricey, but it works! And that’s why she didn’t try something else this time, she went straight for the Frontline. She likes Frontline because it’s safe We stayed at a 3 star motel in Santa Cruz, and the motel gave my sister and me fleas! We were scratching like nobody’s business! Grr! Good, not great
By AndyH on Jan 9, 2021
We hike often with our dog in New England and plenty of ticks abound. We search after for any ticks to remove them and there are always plenty including some biting already. We have found some days later too when we are away from ticks that are roaming our pup. We will get a more aggressive product next time.

Horrible Product
By PaigeS on Oct 20, 2020
DO NOT BUY!! My dog has a horrible rash and scabs all over her back end from fleas. This product does not work. I went to the vet today due to her itching all night after finding a flea on her face. We had to purchase $60 worth of flea prevention, $80 worth of oral meds, and $80 for the vet visit that resulted in her needing a steroid for her rashes. The doctor in fact said to me “topical products do not work”.. order oral Bravecto and get vet approval.

Go to brand! We've been using this for years!
By MouseMom on Dec 6, 2020
I love Frontline plus! I have 4 Chihuahuas and this has been working for us for over 3 years now. I've used other brands and they do not work nearly as well as Frontline to keep fleas away. With this product, I let it sit on my dogs for about 24 hours. Once it's fully soaked in and dried up, I will give them a bath the next day to get rid of that greasy residue that sits on their fur. Great packaging, easy instructions and application, and no smell!

Great price, timely delivery
By Dave on Jan 9, 2021
I was first impressed with the variety of different treatments I could choose from including various quantities and prices. Then the delivery could not be matched as it was quick, literally the next day and at no additional cost. What not to like?

did not work.
By Jinx on Nov 18, 2020
I live in Florida and my 4 dogs have a terrible, terrible flea issue. I bought Frontline plus in hopes of it working but unfortunately it did not work. Quite disappointing, maybe the fleas in Florida are just immune to frontline plus.

mixed results
By debgeff on Nov 7, 2020
This is the first flea treatment I've ever used. After a few weeks I'm still finding fleas on my little (10 lb) dog, although not as many. And he's still biting and scratching. I was hopeful that this was a solution. But it doesn't seem to be - at least for us.

not for my dog
By merissa on Nov 3, 2020 Top 250 Contributor
My dogs skin is so red after putting this on, he seems miserable. I’ve heard good things about this but I don’t think it will work well for my dog, his reaction to it wasn’t good even after just 1 dose. We haven’t had fleas but still don’t think it’s worth it
