The amount of food your cat needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your cat’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Love, attention, playtime and chin scratches should be given freely, as often as possible.
The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food and 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for two or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food and 80% old food for two or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his or her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.
I read all about the company and the food and really desired to get behind the product. But out only the first delivery did the cat food smell good and fresh. The 2nd bag I received began to sell like death early on so I thought that if I separated the food into portions that that would work. It didn't. Then I tried to freeze the portions before I used them and that didn't work. One out of 5 bags is not worth feeding that to my kitties.
We won't be buying it because our guys didn't really love it. They ate a little but then waited for the wet food six hours later.
We wanted to like this because it's organic, but all 5 cats found it meh. Very disappointing. If we can find it, we try to buy organic, but it's hard to come by and some some odd reason they don't like it. One cat, maybe two I could see, but all 5 will only eat it if nothing else is available.
The best food around. My cat loves it. Good job Canada
All 3 of our cats love this food, and their picky human appreciates the ingredients.
My cat loves this food! She is high maintenance & loves all the expensive stuff like her mom! Great quality food, organic & a little expensive but I believe u get what u pay for most of the times! I feed her wet food also and mainly use this when we r gone all day cause cats r dessert animals & live in a constant state of dehydration & do better on wet food!!! Just saying!
This food made all my cats sick, even the one who rarely vomits, she threw it up plus it gave them diarrhea. Some ingredients in this food, the cats cannot digest like egg shells, etc. It's no good. I thought this was good food since it was organic and also says free-run chicken. Whether that is true or not, I don't know but it is no fun to see the kitties sick. This company deserves no stars.
Rex was missing his crunchy dry food, so I searched for a grain-free product to supplement his daily pate’. We’re counting calories so I calculated that 1 TBS mid-day and at bedtime would add just enough to his daily allowance. He loves them, and they are so tiny that 1 TBS looks like a lot!
I was looking for a food (Vs just treats and supplements) that would support my cats’ urinary tract health. I also will not feed my animals anything with by-products or meals. This is it! My cats took to it immediately, even though they’ve been eating nothing but Halo (and some daily sauces or soups separately for added liquids). They Absolutely Love It!
My cats are extremely picky and I've been looking for a healthy organic option for them (I've tried them all). This is definitely their favorite and I love the brand's mission and their quality ingredients. We will continue to purchase this!
