Do not administer other steroid hormones during treatment with this medication. Do not use in combination with other aminoglycosides, such as neomycin. Notify your veterinarian of any other medications, including vitamins and supplements, your pet is taking while your pet is receiving gentamicin.
Before putting any medication into your pet's ear ear, examine the external ear canal thoroughly to be certain the tympanic membrane is not ruptured—this can cause the infection to spread to the inner ear, or damage the cochlea. If hearing or dizziness or lack of coordination due to inner ear damage is noted during treatment, discontinue use. Do not use in animals with known allergies to any of the ingredients. Prevent ingestion of the medication.
