Useless. Going back to Revolution.

Theoretically this should be the same as Revolution--just a generic version--but Revolution worked. Never had problems with fleas with Revolution but it's expensive. Revolt is cheap but my cat has had fleas ever since I switched. Going back to Revolution. But Chewy shouldn't sell Revolt anymore. Clearly it is not what it claims to be.

NOT the same as Revolution!

I thought this would be the same as Revolution because it has the same active ingredient but there's something off with this product. My cat lost all her hair at the application site and with Revolution, we never had any weird side effects. I wish Revolution wasn't ripping people off but this product definitely isn't the same. I would advise caution because my cat was super uncomfortable after putting this on her, as if it burned her or irritated her skin.

The good and bad

We used this as a preventative for our indoor cats. I feed feral cats and they hang in my connected garage. I can not catch them to apply anything so I use this for my indoor cats. I was using frontline on these two friendly outdoor cats and my farm cats because it had tick protection which this does not I would regularly check my indoor cats and there were no fleas or flea dirt. A feral had got run over by a car so my husband brought whatever friendly outdoor cats he could inside. When we brought them in everyone had one week before next months application. Well the outdoor frontline cats were infested with fleas and they brought them in. We used the revolt for four months in the winter in Ny and we still have fleas. So this leads me to believe it is great as a preventative but if you have a big flea problem I dont feel it handles it as well. Flea meds are tough. All parasites have become immune to the drugs we use. Once I get this issue under control I will most likely try this product again. I have a friend who went thru a similar situation where it worked as a preventative but not an infestation. I appreciate the cheaper price as we treat 15 cats.

Won't buy again

Three cats, two kittens and a three year old healthy female, dead within 48hrs. Didn't touch the ear mites in the others. The last time I bought this one cat got really sick, white kitty turned yellow and eventually quickly died. Big vet bill both times broken hearts. I didn't connect the dots.

Horrible smell compared to other brands

Ive used the name brand as well as other generic versions of selamectin which supposedly have the exact same ingredients, and none of them left behind a smell or residue, just a faint smell of alcohol for the first few minutes. This version, Revolt, left my cat smelling strongly of burnt plastic hours after application, and left her fur solidified. Theres no way this really contains only the stated ingredients, and Im questioning its safety. (Sorry for lack of punctuation, Chewy doesnt allow apostrophes in reviews)

I see and feel fleas. not effective enough for me.

I have been using the medicine consistently for 4 months, and my cat has fleas. I had not seen any until the other day, but now I am feeling the bites and one crawled on me out of his fur.

Not worth it

Ive used Revolution consistantly since i reacued my cat and it has always worked with no problems. But, my recent vet told me that revolt was the same thing, just cheaper. It did not work at all. Cat is still full of fleas. Bought two boxes for no reason, so dissappointing. Will be going back to Revolution.

Burned cat's skin

I really wanted to like this! It's cheaper compared to other brands and covers a wider variety of parasites. Sadly, shortly after applying the product, my cat had a bad reaction to it. It burned my cat's skin at the site of application. His fur fell off and there was a bad chemical burn. He is fine now, and the wound healed. I have tried other topicals before and haven't had this reaction, so I'm not sure what happened.

Same protection without the side effects

Last time my vet gave me a different topical pesticide for my cats and didn't think it was a big deal that it had a profound impact on my cats' behavior. Thank goodness, when I tried the Revolt brand this time instead, my cats had no negative reactions at all. I am so happy that Chewy offers a lot of options, each with clear explanations of what you are ordering and comments from other pet parents about how it worked for them. :)

Its good for the indoor cat

Its cheaper than Revolution and its almost the same stuff. It does make one of my cats itchy for a few days thats the only downside. My cats are indoor cats and dont really need anything but its better safe than sorry and way cheaper than spending all that money on revolution for indoor cats.
