So glad to be able to buy a small trial size bag to see if our 3 dogs would have a bad reaction to it or if they would even like it - before investing in a large bag of this food. That said, they all liked it, even the cat wanted to try it! No problematic chicken meal/byproduct in it, but it does have egg. None of the dogs had digestive issues or allergic itching from the ingredients. So I will feel better about ordering a full size bag and transitioning them from their other food to this one. I will reserve a higher rating until after they’ve been on it for over a month, in case there’s a hidden issue with product shelf life or digestive issues.

my dogs like this one! all 3! I bought it because it does not have dye in it and i have a white dog...dye causes his eyes to tear a brown stain underneath. All in all..Chewy sets the standard for customer service. I once wrote an unflattering review and Chewy saw it and made it good...even tho they were not the problem, the product was! I wish all company's were like Chewy. I am very serious! nancy

I switched to this after feeding Diamond Naturals for many years. I had good experience with Diamond Naturals but was concerned with recalls and a few ingredients. I looked at several brands before finally deciding on this for many reasons. I love the fact that it doesn't have corn, wheat, soy, beet pulp, or any bad questionable oils like sunflower, canola, vegetable etc. I also love that I get 30 lbs for $50.00. I think this is the best dog food out there thus far especially for the price point! I currently feed this to 2 Chihuahuas, 1 Pit Bull cross, and 1 Presa Canirao puppy. The morning after switching my Presa puppy expelled a few worms I'm glad they came out instead of causing havoc to my dogs health. I haven't had any of my 4 dogs refuse to eat this food they gobble it all up. I'm excited to see how my dogs health is in a few months of being on this food. I also wanted to say that coconut oil is a natural anti fungal and this will help kill off fungus so if your dog starts scratching on this food it's a good thing.

For the last couple of years, we've fed Maggie the Border Terrier freshly roasted, skinless, boneless chicken breasts, assorted steamed veggies, organic rice + Balance IT canine (supplement). Maggie still suffered with occasional periods of diarrhea (bloody, sometimes) - in and out, up and down several times some nights, grass-eating, some vomiting - interspersed with a few days when she was feeling great. We have taken her in for exams, bloodwork, stool sample testing several times over the last few years. Results are always negative - no parasites, no serious illness. It was quite a worry for us not knowing what was irritating her gut. Started her on Health Extension Lamb & Brown Rice with a sprinkle of Stella & Chewy's Marie's Magical Dinner Freeze-Dried Raw Dust Grass-Fed Beef Dog Food Topper. She scarfs it down! Stools are normal (!) - better than they have been for months. She's full of beans, too. Very playful, eyes bright and clear. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the improved digestion continues - I have confidence that it will. I also have a lot more time on my hands because I'm not cooking up special meals for her. Oh ! Must share that Chewy's 24/7 Help Chat representative is the person that recommended these brands for us to try. I had never heard of them before. Super grateful!
