Help your canine companion maintain normal bladder health with Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Urinary Care Chicken Flavor Dry Dog Food. Bladder stones are collections of mineral crystals that combine together in the urinary tract and create discomfort that can lead to more serious problems requiring the care of a veterinarian. Because the food your dog eats plays an important role in her overall health and well-being, Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help support her bladder and healthy urinary function. It’s formulated with a precise balance of minerals to deliver the essential nutrition she needs without overloading her system, which could encourage the formation of crystals.

This food works like magic! my basset hound came back with Crystals in his urine and was prescribed this food. He was urinating blood and was given antibiotics, after 5 days of having him on this food the blood disappeared I was mixing the kibble along with wet food I do not regret paying the extra money for this food it really does work like magic!
Following her 3rd UTI, our 2 year old Havachon had emergency surgery for 10 bladder stones, one caught in the uretha. Our vet subscribed the c/d care...for life. We worried that she wouldn't like plain kibble...but she and her 'sister' both love it. Praying this prevents more stones. We're being strict and only giving c/d care from now on.
Chewy went to my aid contacting my vet to get the recommended food for my dog and it was delivered super quickly. Took a lot of trouble from me in a time I needed help. Very happy for the good attention and follow through.
Not much to say about the actual product my dog does not like it and the cost has increased so that was frustrating. For what I am paying for a small bag I use to be able to get a medium bag and of course never any coupons for it. Also shipping took way to long. Did not come in 3 days so when you order make sure you give yourself at least a week.
My 7 year old dog is a 16 pound Havanese with a sensitive gut. A few years ago, he needed to go on the c/d diet after veterinarian care post-illness and we haven't looked back since. The only thing I do, is only give 1/3 a cup twice a day instead of what the label on the bag says. If I gave him what the Hill's PD recommended, my dog would be morbidly obese.
The instructions for feeding on the new bags do not make sense. I followed this and my dog gained weight. My vet was confused about the change in directions as well. The new formula also makes my dogs mouth and breath smell like urine. We will not order another bag.
We were shocked to receive our last bag of CD and found that the shape and size of the kibble had changed. Thought that an error had occurred and we had the wrong product. However the bags were exactly the same. My old dog that we had been hand feeding at least half of her food, is now inhaling this smaller and flatter kibble. It's like a miracle. I believe the only difference is the size.
My dogs bladder infection and bladder stone are gone with a regiment of antibiotics and Science Diet c/d Urinary Care.
This food has been very helpful with our dog that has a hereditary urinary condition. She loves this food, which is a plus!
This food does what it is supposed to. Helped my senior dog with her UTI issues. She ate it with no issues.
