A Hit on So Many Levels

We had to change the diet of one of our three cats after she was brought low by acute pancreatitis. No diagnosis of IBS or diabetes, but it was bad. Our vet urged us to make the switch from their all-carnivore and varied diet to this one kind (2 flavors wet), which you could say is way too heavy on the carbs, especially grains. The horror! BUT IT'S WORKING. All three cats like it and have more energy. The sick cat is back to normal, no longer vomiting at all on five small servings a day. If I had another life coming to me, I'd probably beg the vet for a prescription for my next, perfectly healthy cat family.

Let us down

It was not what I thought I was buying. Thought it was the stew not the "loaf" pate. This food smelled terrible. It was all I could do to fix it for him. There was only chicken flavor. Our cat was used to different flavors. And ate fillets, meaty bits or shreds. He wasn't thrilled with it. Called the company about a different flavor but they only made chicken for digestive problems and suggested we add some water from a can of water packed tuna. It did not help with his problem. He continued to be incontinent of bowel as his stools remained watery or at best pancake like. This food was the only thing the vet's thought would help him. We have an appointment to have him put down. This food totally let us and him down!

My cats love this food!

My cats vet recommended that we start feeding him this food because his small intestine is having absorption problems with the food we were feeding him so we bought it and both of my cats love this food and gobbled it down right away. I noticed my cats fur is very soft and his coat is very shiny now while eating this food. I would highly recommend it.

New Favourite

My 10 year old recently developed gastrointestinal issues and her veterinarian put her on this Hill's Prescription I/D diet. She loves it and she is a very picky eater. I also watched the tutorial on how to transition her to the new food and it was very helpful. My little cat seems much more content now.

Pets know it’s medicine

I have one sick cat and this was prescribed, well with 4 cats you must feed them all the same or the sick cat goes to the wrong food. Not one eats any of it. When 3 healthy cats won’t touch the stuff what does that tell you. I’d rather feed them something they will all eat and clean up after the sick one then make them all sick because they had to forage for their food.

Cats Won't Eat This

I have nine cats and no matter what I do to try to get them to eat this food, they won't. I'm sure it does what it is intended to do, but if they won't eat it, that's a moot point. I also bought the ID dry food and all of my cats love that. So, if you're wondering whether you should buy this wet food or the dry, pick up the dry. This doesn't even smell good to me, so it's no wonder my cats won't eat it.
