Our kitty ate the first two cans with gusto and then went off of it. Now she's back on after trying a couple other brands. When the cans are first opened, the smell must be overwhelming! She's both hungry and picky at the same time. My vet said that this is common with kidney issues. They are always looking for different food as an effect of the kidney problem. So far she's right and she comes back to it after trying other things.

I have tried several flavors over the years and now that I need it again for my current cat, my little baby. She will not touch it and neither will my roommates three other cats. Don’t know what it is, but they just don’t like this k/d food. And considering the exorbitant and outrageous amount of money one has to pay for it and the price of it. It is not ideal. They need to figure out a way to get this kidney food so that cats will like it.

The two cases of canned food were placed in an over sized shipping box which was damaged and being held together by only the tape on the outside of the box. With no packing material, several of the cans were damaged/dented during shipping and may have caused the integrity of the can(s) to be compromised but we won't know for sure until we open each can. Please add packing material to protect the contents of the items being shipped.

My cat has kidney disease and it’s essential to change her diet , Sophia sniffs the food and backs away. The corn(?) and other things are too visible; do cats need vegetables? I realize it says vegetable and tuna stew, so should not have been surprised / disappointed. It’s also very expensive and now I have more than 20 cans that won’t be used. People tell me that if she gets hungry enough, she’ll eat. But Sophia refuses to eat it (even though I have been mixing it with her regular, non-Rx food. I’ve tried most of the Rx food for cats with kidney disease and she refuses all of them. The food also looks and smells unappealing. What can I do? food)and

Once Pumpkin got his appetite back he was totally devouring this hills wet food. I actually started feeding him hills senior cat tuna medley wet food, he has always preferred tuna over chicken. If your cat is a picky eater I reccommend adding some other wet food that they like to their prescription food to make it more enticing. I also add warm water to help heat up the aroma of the wet food, making it more appetizing for them.

I thought it would be tasty but she won’t eat it.

I don’t think it’s the product. I think it’s my cat. I bought four cans originally to try it out on her. She liked it thenI bought 24 and now she won’t eat it.
