Adjust feeding amounts as necessary to maintain optimal weight. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian. For best results & safety practices: Gradually transition to your pet's new food over a 7 day period. Exclusively feed the recommended Prescription Diet dry food, canned food & treats. Keep fresh water available at all times. Have your veterinarian monitor your pet's condition.

Transition Instructions

Begin the transition by mixing both the current food and their new cat food together. Gradually decrease the amount of the current cat food while increasing the amount of new cat food. Continue to do this over a 7-day period. Transitioning slowly can result in fewer digestive issues and better acceptance of the new cat food. Mix 25% of the new food in with 75% of the current food for the first 2 days, then mix 50% new food with 50% existing food for the next 2 days, then mix 75% new food with 25% current food for the next 2 days. By day seven, you can feed your cat 100% new food.

  • My cat likes it!

    By on

My 17 year old cat is really finicky about prescription diet food. He is in early renal failure and has arthritic issues. He's been eating K/D dry half-heartedly and been avoiding anything to help with mobility. He's eating this and actually preferring it to A/D canned and turkey baby food. I am thrilled. He's been on this for a few weeks now, so I'm still waiting to see if it will help with his stiff joints.

  • Cats Love IT

    By on

We have one senior cat that has kidney disease so the vet recommended this food. She'll actually eat it! Lately she has been snubbing the dry food we normally feed our cats, but she likes this brand/type. Our younger cats also eat it because they think it's a special treat.

  • All the kitties will eat this

    By on

Since I leave dry food out all the time, all the 5 kitties need to eat this food, not just the one with kidney problems. They all like it, even our picky eater.

  • Great Taste

    By on

I was concerned my cat wouldn't like the taste of a new food. I am pleasantly surprised he LOVES it and, since he needs it, this has been great!

  • My cats love it!

My cats just started on this after being on regular k/d for years and they love it! It is too soon to know if I can take them off of the joint supplement I give them.

She seems to like this as much as the non mobility version. If you can afford the higher price it's an added benefit for you cat.

  • K/D + Mobility Dry Cat Food

My Andy seems to really like the dry food, better than the canned that goes with this.

  • CRF Russian Blue likes it.

    By on

This is very similar to the Hills Prescription K/D. The pellets are smaller in size in the K/D with Mobility. Our old Russian Blue has CRF with SubQ fluids every other day and he eats this as his dry food. It does encourage eating and drinking. Which is great for CRF cats. It must be tasty because our other healthy cats always want some of this food.
