Easy Peasy

The process of ordering a prescription diet item through Chewy was completely hassle-free and so convenient. They contacted my vet directly and took care of everything behind the scenes. This product has helped my kitty cat with his kidney function and his levels have been stable since being prescribed. It did take my cat a little while to get used to it(taste I assume), but he has no problem with it now.

Great product!

Our cat (Mico) has been on Hills Science Diet K/D for about 2 years. He’s 12 years old & is a fairly large cat. There was a little evidence of kidney issues at his appointment 2 years ago so the vet suggested Hills Science Diet K/D. He loves the food (chicken flavored) & although a prescription is needed, he is doing quite well. Regarding Chewy, other than the food arriving 1 day late (kind of to be expected these days), they seem to be a great company. We are very pleased:)

Makes a big difference in quality of life

We adopt seniors, and many adopted come with issues. We are feeding this to our fourth cat with severe kidney problems and his health and quality of life has improved. Previous two cats also had quality of life extended by many months and in two cases, years.

They love it

My cat Sabrina has moderate kidney disease and she ate this food the first day. This is unusual for her. She doesn't normally accept a food change. The other cats like it too and try to sneak it.

She wouldn’t eat it

Got this for my CKD cat, and at first she occasionally will eat the wet food (stew) she never would touch this despite being an exclusive kibble eater prior to her CKD diagnosis. It’s really expensive, so I’m not upset about her choosing to not eat it, also it’s full of fillers and there are better options if your cat refuses wet food or likes also having kibble available

Excellent Product.

This was recommended by my Vet for my beautiful Silvester, as she started to have early-stage of Kidney issues. Silvester enjoys eating Hill's Prescription Diet K/d Dry food, along with Hill's Wet Can K/d Food as well. Chewy is a great Pet Food Company that I can rely on for all my different foods for my Pets. I only wish that this Prescription Diet K/d Food from Hill's were more reasonable in price for the amount of dry food you receive in the bag. Hill's Prescription Diet Food is expensive and should be more affordable to the consumer. The Hill's Pet Food Company needs to reduce the price of their Prescription Foods, as they are way too expensive!

Hill;s Prescription food

Our cat had 2nd degree kidney failure, so, our vet recommended this food. It has a very strong odor. Our cat really didn't like it, but he had quite an appetite, so he would eat it. He seamed to prefer the tuna & veggie the best.

Expensive but he eats it!

It’s so hard having senior cats. One of my three has high kidney values but the issue with this food is how insanely expensive considering that I basically have to feed all three this food (they’ve been grazers for 15 years - can’t change that.) for now I’m mixing this with half senior and will check his bloodwork to see if it makes a difference. Chewy is awesome however!

Cat actually eats this food and seems to like it

Many years ago, I had tried a KD diet for my dog and she didn't like it at all. When I was prescribed the KD diet for my cat, I was worried that he might not like it either, especially as he is finicky. To my surprise, he ran over to the KD Chicken Dry Cat Food and began eating it right away! He also likes the tuna stew and chicken stew wet cat foods in the KD line, so I'm glad he is eating and seems to be doing well.

Hill's Presciption Diet k/d Kidney Care with Chicken Dry Cat Food

My cats love this food. Enhanced flavoring helps cats to come back for more. I have an underweight cat who loves the wet food too.
