Adult: Feed 3/4 - 1 1/4 cans per 15 lbs of body weight per day.
Puppy: Feed up to twice the Adult amount per day.
Gestation and Lactation: Feed up to 3 times the Adult amount per day.
For Combination Feeding: Feed 1/3 cup less dry food for every 1/2 can of wet food.
Adjust the amount of food you serve based on the age, size and activity level of your dog. Food should be fed at room temperature. Promptly refrigerate the unused portion.
A slow transition will be the easiest. Plan for the process to take about a week. Days 1 and 2, mix 25% of the new food in with the old food. If the change is tolerated well, increase the transition to 50% new food. Continue for a few days then increase the new food to 75%, then 100% after a couple more days. Be sure to mix the “old” food with Hound & Gatos – don’t offer each food separately. If transitioning from kibble, you can just add the can as a topper to the kibble. If loose stools occur, keep the ratio of old/new food at the current ratio for a couple of days until the stools firm back up.

My dog is the pickiest eater; there are only 2 snacks and 1 can food she likes. I am always afraid to give her something new because it's almost impossible to find what she likes. I like to mix kibbles and can food (because she can be stubborn and not eat kibbles sometimes) and when I mix this can food with her kibbles, she devours it and finishes everything! I'm so glad I found something she likes!

My dog absolutely LOVES this wet food. The fact that its for any dog age is & is mainly protein is amazing! My dog loves this added to his food; he goes crazy for it every time he sees me bring out the can! Definitely recommend.

I have 4 dogs....2 working Maremmas and two small rescues. The big dogs need a quality food to maintain their health as they guard their goats. One of our smaller dogs is horribly fussy and he loves this food. This food works for all our dogs.

Picky Eater, Seems To Love It!

We were given a free sample of Hound & Gatos Chicken and Liver recipe wet dog food to try and give an honest review. Let's start of by saying we are very particular of what we give our furbaby since she has a very sensitive stomach and this was not exception. My first impression upon opening was it actually smelled like meat. My picky eater got extremely excited for her dinner and gobbled it up and came back minutes later to lick the empty bowl. It's Grain Free, Free of Preservatives and has no added flavors or colors. I don't see myself moving fully to a wet food diet any time soon but it's a feel good way to make mealtime special for my furbaby.

Waste of money

I bought a case of this dog food because of the great reviews. I have a very picky dog. She did not eat it and would not eat the dry kibble I mix with it . Now I have a case of expensive dog food to take to the shelter. I wish I had the opportunity to buy just one can instead of 12 but it was not offered.
