Interceptor Plus prevents heartworm disease and treats and controls adult roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and tapeworm infections in dogs and puppies 6 weeks or older and 2 pounds or greater.

Important Safety Information

Treatment with fewer than 6 monthly doses after the last exposure to mosquitoes may not provide complete heartworm prevention. Prior to administration of Interceptor Plus, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. The safety of Interceptor Plus has not been evaluated in dogs used for breeding or in lactating females. The following adverse reactions have been reported in dogs after administration of milbemycin oxime or praziquantel: vomiting, diarrhea, decreased activity, incoordination, weight loss, convulsions, weakness, and salivation.

My Yorkie doesn’t mind this when i put it in a pill pocket. No side effects noticed at all. Tip, If your dog is picky, don’t let them smell it on your fingers; get it and put it in something yummy like cheese or lunch meat. Don’t break it in half. It’s not big and they will smell it. I use peanut butter pill pockets- i only use half of it because it’s huge and it covers it just fine then i just give her the rest of the pocket as a treat. Make meds time fun & reward them after so they look forward to it when they see the box.

Not c considered a treat.

She doesn't like the taste of it, no matter what we put with to desire it. So we have to break it in half and shove it down her throat.

I needed this fast and they made sure it happened

I needed this for travel documents for the USDA and we were on a deadline as I wasn’t aware before. I couldn’t find it locally and Chewy made sure the turnaround

I needed this for travel documents for the USDA and we were on a deadline as I wasn’t aware before. I couldn’t find it locally and Chewy made sure the turnaround was so fast! The product itself- my dog has had awful reactions to any product containing dewormer that isn’t ivermectin. The side effects of Drontal scared me- heart beating and running zoomies with inability to sleep all night. I googled it and found hundreds of similar experiences from others. I found this one to be the least toxic
