Since my puppy girl Hinna got her treat ball. She would come to me and load it up with peanut butter and treats. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars I was thinking she would have gotten red ball not a blue. She loves it anyway.
I stuff this with freeze dried chicken and homemade frozen treats like cubes of pumpkin - combining the two so they hold each other in place works the best for my doggo (heeler/collie mix who's really good with food puzzles). Basically, stuff it with something frozen that takes up most of the volume, then fill in the smaller spaces left with irregularly shaped treats. If using small, round treats everything will just fall out as others have said.
My lab loves this ball! He likes the holes to be able to play tug of war, but also likes the squeaker. It's heavy enough to be able to throw well long distance. I will definitely get another one of these!
Love this for the milkbones they fit right in there Cooper loves his cookie ball!
Our pup loves playing with this whether or not I add a treat in it
The holes are huge! Every treat falls out before my pup can even engage with it. I guess she has another ball...bummer What treats are so large they won't fall right out??
Holes are BIG, can't locate the right size treat to use
This toy seems like a great toy for other dogs but it is just med for us. My dog is not too mouthy with her enrichment, much prefers to use her paws and this definitely requires her mouth. If I make it too difficult she will oftentimes give up after a bit of time pawing it around and trying to just lick it out, but if I make it easy, the treat just falls right out. Overall, not the best toy for our house but it really does seem like a great toy and challenge for a dog who would like it. The closed side seems sturdy enough and it has some weight to it. The open side seems strong enough for an easy or moderate chewer to work with but a power chewer could probably do some damage to it.
we are always so taken care of by chewy! toys are great but we shouild have ordered the larger ones as our treats will not fit in them!
The Squeak is great but the treats roll out too easily. Directions would be nice if there is a method other than squishing them in the form as well as suggestion shape of treat so it makes it fun yet challenging.
