Feeding Instructions

Feed guinea pigs 1/4 - 1/2 cup daily. Use the feeding recommendation as a starting point for 1 pet. Adjust the portions to maintain proper weight and for feeding additional pets. For best results, discard any uneaten portion and clean food dish before next feeding. Fresh water should be available at all times.

Transition Instructions

When introducing a new food, begin with a mixture of old and new food, gradually increasing the amount of new food over a 7 - 10 day period. This will prevent digestive upset as well as allow your pet to adjust to the new food.

Honestly I think my Guinea Pig ate this because it didn’t know any better. It always ate only the pellets and left everything else. Switching to a new brand today by oxbow esssentials adult Guinea Pig food which has way more reviews and seems better in terms of quality. But two stars because it was edible and he finished an entire bag!

I bought it a while back and reason why I'm barely writing a review if the following. Since the bag is big I first refilled an empty smaller bag that I had so I wouldn't bring the big bag up and down the living room and stairs. A few days ago I noticed some worms on my walls in my room I though it could of been my guine pig bed but I recently cleaned it but just to safe I cleaned it again but no I found in the food his food to exact . So I threw that one I went to refill the bag again with the same food from the big bag as I was dumping the food into the smaller bag with my hands I notice more worms or larva as you call them there where some big and small one so it would take for ever to look I bought it a while back and reason why I'm barely writing a review if the following. I should of said something the moment I opened the bag and I saw what it seemed to be spider we'd inside the bag but I didn't think of it I though it was nothing . You can just tell how the food is even covered with that web I double close every bag with rubber bands if they are not zipped bags. Nothing to do but get new food because it's ruin good thing he still has hay … more
