This concentrated food lasts longer in the feeder and doesn’t need to be refilled as often. It contains zero sunflower seed hulls, so it’s completely edible, and you won’t have to deal with discarded hulls littering your yard, deck or patio. Because the sunflowers have no hulls, they can’t sprout. This blend of hulled sunflower seeds, shelled peanuts, added calcium and other ingredients is plenty tasty and delivers quality nutrition to birds all year-round.

The food is okay but there is more millet in it than I would like. It is way less messy than most foods, but I am not sure what birds are supposed to eat the millet. The birds I entice go for the good stuff and throw the millet on the ground.
This has been more work than benefit. My birds usually empty out all 8 of our feeders in 1 week, sometimes 3-4 days. Ever since we switched to this (because I was tired of my dogs eating sunflower seed SHELLs) the feeders hardly empty out and for good reason. Often it clumps together, hardens, and clogs the feeders. It molds if you're not constantly monitoring. Looked into all other waste free options & bottom line- there must not be such a thing.
This brand of no waste seed is great. The little birds hang on the feeder and eat all day. I like that there's no large peanuts that can get stuck in the feeder's feed holes like other brands.
My sparrows, titmice and cardinals love this stuff! The best part is that even though they still spill it I don't have to worry about random plants seeding themselves in my flower bed.
I bought this food because it is advertised as waste-free and I'm thinking it may well be, but because my feathered diners don't seem to like it much, I can't really tell. The only birds that are coming to dine are the house finches and tufted titmice. The woodpeckers and blue jays and cardinals and chickadees have declined. I'm hoping they will develop a taste for it because I bought a lot of - 35 lbs! I would consider returning it, but it might be too much of a hassle and too costly if returns aren't free. Right now I can't say I would recommend it.
I bought a 10lb bag of this when I bought a bird feeder that holds 1lb. The birds empty the feeder every 24hrs. I thought it was a squirrel problem till I stayed home one day. My entire balcony is covered in sparrows, chickadees, grackles, and even a few doves every morning. I tried to find a larger quantity bag since they burn through it so fast and ended up buying a different brand; the birds took almost a week to empty the feeder with the other brand. So now I buy this in stock and refill the feeder every day. Yes, I bought another feeder, and they still empty the 1lb feeder every day. My only complaint is that is not actually waste free. There's no sunflower shells but thermal ball seeds have a casing that the birds leave all over the balcony. Other than that; highly recommend!
Unfortunately, I goofed ordering this. I wanted sunflower hearts/chips. This mix the birds pick out the good stuff and throw out and waste the little round seeds. Some will come back and pick thru what’s in the ground, but mainly it’s just wasted. My error, so I can’t really complain, but I am kicking myself in the behind. We have a feeder that holds almost the entire bag. The birds empty in a day, mostly on the ground.
This waste free blend is very popular with the smaller birds , from Finches to Cardinals. Love to see them eat and totally enjoy their daily smorgasbord of food.
