The sweet little birds love this

The cute sparrows love this and get so excited. There’s no waste at all, so no unsavory beasts come at night to scrounge leftovers! Some birds peck at the nuggets

The cute sparrows love this and get so excited. There’s no waste at all, so no unsavory beasts come at night to scrounge leftovers! Some birds peck at the nuggets and smash them so several can share granules; others scoop up a nugget and fly off. Cardinals will come for this too, although they prefer black sunflower seeds and are more crepuscular. Pigeons can show up, so I avoid them by be unpredictable in my timing and keeping amounts small and out of sight of pigeon hangouts (like powerlines). Pigeons learn schedules, so don’t have one! Squirrels are adorable and will help birds eat this at times, but it’s not their first choice because it’s not vegan. Buy Kaytee suet nuggets and make birds happy!
