Thermal Heated Bowl works!
This outdoor heated water bowl works below 0 degrees. I use it for the birds. If the cold Wisconsin wind is blowing it will breeze up around the rim sometimes into to center. However I break it free or add warm water & back in business. Over summer I unplug it & still use it for the birds. Wash it out at times. This will be the 3rd winter & it still heats up. I just bought another one for the chickens I got this spring.
Kept Water Ice Free All Winter
I bought this to use outdoors for a feral cat. It worked wonderfully all winter. It kept the water ice free and the stainless steel bowl is super easy to keep clean. It sure beats changing the water multiple times a day in the winter.
Keeps water liquid in winter
I purchased this water bowl for my outdoor dogs and the cat drinks from it too. Keeps the water from freezing in cold temps. Plugged it in on my screened in porch and it works like a charm! Cleaning it requires unplugging it and doing the quick job in the house. The metal cabling around the cord keeps me confident the pets won't chew the cord. Have had no problems only happy pets with fresh water available. Overall, this is a great solution to fresh water in cold temps!
KH heated water bowl
I am very pleased that the bowl has kept water in my henhouse from freezing in below zero temperatures. My former bowl allowed ice to form consistently, even when refilled with warm water three times a day.

Thank you so much for sending replacement so fast! Came just in time before storm. Quite a few feral cats showed up around my house recently. I can't get them yet but trying to find ways to keep them warm outside, feed them and provide water. The water kept freezing and noticed one particular cat looks for water frequently. It bothered me how fast the water would freeze in this weather. This bowl is awesome! No more frozen water! The cats now have water available at all times. I also see birds using it too! Thank you so much for helping us care for not only our animals, but wildlife and also these poor babies that don't have homes.
Bowls do their job with a caveat
These bowls (I bought two) do their job in that they don't allow the water to freeze, BUT they also heat the water up to a certain degree where the water is actually warm to very warm to the touch. I bought some bowls this exact size a few years back that were blue plastic on the outside and stainless steel on the inside, and they never heated the water up at all, just kept the water from freezing. I can't remember who made them, but I want to say it was this same company. I can't find them anymore. They were perfect, but these bowls will do. In my experience heated water bowls are only reliable for a couple of seasons and then they go wonky in that they will start to trip the ground fault they are plugged into, which means it's time to replace them. My two outdoor tractor shed cats love them as well as the squirrels, birds and whatever other wildlife comes along...
Great Product
I purchased this because I feed the feral cats in our neighborhood. I needed a way to provide them with water in the winter when the temps are low. This is a great product. It has a thermostat so it only comes on when needed. It doesn't use a lot of electricity. And the cord is wrapped so I don't have to worry about the squirrels I feed chewing through the generous length of the electric cord. Now feral cats, squirrels, and even birds have drinkable water no matter what the weather. And, it was a great price.
Heated bowl
This bowl is amazing!I bought first bowl 2 years ago and it still is working.we live in upper Midwest and kept water warm during our latest blizzard.bought another bowl this year for canned cat food for my ferals.it is works great keeping food warm!
- 25 below zero without freezing!
We placed this dish outside, on a thick layer of straw, under the eve of our cabin near our home where we feed wildlife. The birds, squirrels and deer all love it! It did not freeze over even after a blizzard in northern Wisconsin with-25 below zero temps.
