Help your cat or dog recover peacefully—no shame required—with the KONG Cloud Collar. Designed for dogs or cats healing from surgery, rashes or wounds, this recovery collar is soft and comfortable to wear, unlike traditional plastic collars. Best of all, it doesn’t interfere with your pet's peripheral vision or their ability to eat and drink. So, your pal can recover without the additional discomfort. It's scratch- and bite-resistant, which can accelerate healing, and machine-washable fabric makes it easier on you, too! The problem with the cones I’ve tried is that in her efforts to lick her wound, she ends up scraping it repeatedly with the edge of the cone and it takes FOREVER to heal. This donut solves that problem. She cannot reach her butt but can still lick her paws, tail and lower belly so this is not the cone substitute for all situations.
Worth it, a big improvement from cone

A big step up from the cone both for him (can eat, better navigate with it and looks comfortable) and us (no run ins in the back of the legs, more aesthetically pleasing, reminiscent of neck pillows for long flights). Got the x large for my lab based on neck measurements. Somehow he is able to curl hist body and still reach his hind legs - maybe I got the wrong size or need to adjust air - but it’s still the best thing out there and worth every penny.
Well made and great concept

Maggie is a 44 pound lab with a long face, and we purchased this in a size large. We alternated between the cone (which was more effective) and the cloud collar (which was more comfortable). She could only wear this when we were watching her: we could not make the collar tight enough, and she could reach her stitches as she regained the ability to stretch. We needed a size that had a smaller neck circumference and a deeper pillow. I watched her put her forepaws behind the pillow and pop it off, but when she figured out that if the pillow came off the cone went on, she left it alone. By day 4 of recovery she could reach her stitches so we kept a onesie on her as back-up.
Much better than a cone

I used this cloud collar in combination with the suitical surgery suit and it was the best thing ever. My terrier had bladder stone removal surgery and he was able to rub the edge of the plastic cone on his incision site. Once I discovered the surgical suit and this collar, it was a more peaceful recovery. He could eat, sleep, and do everything with this collar on, he never seemed bothered by it. I have a feeling with the collar alone, he may have been able to reach the incision site with his tongue, but we never tested that theory. The collar and the suit were the perfect combination.
Comfortable, but popped after 10 days

It luckily worked just long enough for my dog’s neuter stitches to heal. He didn’t love wearing it, but he also didn’t protest whenever I needed to put it on him. He fell asleep just fine wearing it, and he could access his food, but couldn’t reach his incision site. It was hard to know the best way to put it on, though, because if the Velcro was in the front with the valve in the back (as pictured) sometimes he would manage to get his leg through the Velcro. He couldn’t get it all the way off, but that was an uncomfortable position, and one morning I found him in his crate like that and I don’t know how many hours he had been stuck. But if I turned the collar too much, he could chew on the valveIt luckily worked just long enough for my dog’s neuter stitches to heal. I’m still glad I bought it over using the vet’s e-collar.… more
Comfy but useless

I bought this collar to use when our Minidach was to be neutered. He doesn’t seem to mind wearing it at all and even likes it for a pillow. However, his nose reaches right over it and he can lick/chew to his heart’s delight. It would probably work well for a dog who doesn’t have a long nose and a long body!
Not worth the money

This seemed like the best option and comfortable solution for our dog after neutering, but it only lasted 48 hours. First our dog chewed the velcro strap and I repaired it. Then he popped the inflatable insert. Way too expensive for that. One reviewer mentioned inserting a towel into the blue cover, but when I tried that, it was heavy and hung down.

This item is a Godsend after surgery - kept my 6 month old Labradoodle away from her
stitches but with comfort - she even stayed still & let me put on her - no worries while at
work I knew she was safe & comfortable!! Highly recommend

We bought this after our dog had surgery and really hated the old standby plastic cone. She coward when we went to put it on her and just would not settle down, pacing and panting the entire time. This works perfectly as expected. As an added bonus, it's a built in pillow to rest her weary head :)
Cone Head Again

Maybe the Kong Cloud will work for some dogs but it sure didn’t work for my dog. He was easily able to reach his parts that he wasn’t supposed to reach. It wasn’t even a struggle.
