Ordered this the day my dog came home from being neutered and saw just how stressed he was by the cone. Really wish it worked and sounds like it does for some people, but it did not work for us. Within a couple hours he had figured out how to pull it over his head with his paws to get it off. When I tried to tighten his collar so he couldn’t remove it that way, he simply chewed through the Velcro strip. Back to the cone unfortunately
Comfortable for our dog

Extremely pleased with this collar. We purchased this for our dog before a planned surgery. She ended up needing a full body compression suit but we use this collar when the compression suit is being washed (which has been often). She doesn’t mind the collar at all and it seems so much more comfortable than the awful plastic ones. No bumping into the back of our legs either. Definitely a good purchase and wish we had bought it years ago!
Another great invention

Lampshades are a vet’s best friend, but most dogs have issues with them. I found this on Chewy for my little dog and it is one of the best replacements for a lampshade that I have ever seen. It is soft, comfortable and inflatable! It can be blown up or slightly deflated. It is very lightweight. It is used with the dog’s own collar, so it has his scent. Does the job of a lampshade but is so much more pet friendly.
Would recomend for most dogs

I baught this for stormy since she was getting fixed and I knew the e-cone is uncofordable. Wjen we first recived it we put it on, fit well, made well. Stormy is quite an inteligent dog so she was able too get it off with in a couple mins. We were a little bummed out about it.. BUT yesterday she had her surgery and we decided too give it a chance. She is not trying too pull in off at all. Although shes quite druged so we will see. Another bad note is she cant chew bones with it on. Over all its doing what it needs too but if youre dog can get out of their collor they will be able too get out of this and any other product simular.
Doesn’t Prevent Licking after Surgery
on Nov 24, 2020
Bought the medium for our 30 pound dog. She was just spayed and wanted something more comfortable than the plastic cone the vet provides. This did not prevent her from getting to her incision site at all. The collar barely limited her from getting to just about anything she wanted.
This was a godsend.

Our Boxer puppy Murphy recently got fixed. A good friend recommended this product vs the huge plastic cone that the Vet sent him home with. This item made significant difference in our puppy’s happiness and comfort while at the same time keeping him away from his incision(s). We joked that he looked like he had one of those airplane pillows in for the week. This product will be used for all future dogs.

My large dog had surgery a couple of weeks ago & the vet put this huge plastic cone on him. It was so big that he almost tripped over it several times. I bought the Kong cloud collar for him. He couldn't get his head around to lick at the wound, yet he could still eat & drink with no trouble. I've already recommended it to a friend for their dog.
Comfortable but not efficient

Well, we got the Kong Cloud Collar, because of the tons of great reviews we read online and it seemed to be comfortable and less invasive, then the others. However, our dog got a bad itch spot around his tail, and as soon as we put the collar on, he was able to reach the spot and chew it again! This collar might work if the dog has a spot around his/her upper or mid body , but below the waist line , most of the dogs will be able to reach it, unless you are dealing with overweight dogs, who are not flexible enough.
Really Comfy and Useful for Gentle, Elderly Rescued Hot Mess Dog

I bought the size Small for an elderly deaf/ blind Shih Tzu Boy I just rescued...I needed to remove about 15 stitches from his back legs (tumor removals), and a muzzle was not necessary nor feasible for this guy. (He is also missing his lower jaw! Poor little guy!). This collar also came in handy for his tri-weekly medicated body spraying (for a bacterial skin infection), which is a bit cold and unpleasant. This inflatable collar attached to his neck collar keeps his head supported (he’s a very old man), and keeps him comfy while I treat him. Simple to deflate and reuse. Packs away small and flat. It also kept him from chewing his infected toes at night (he was a train wreck when I got himI bought the size Small for an elderly deaf/ blind Shih Tzu Boy I just rescued...I needed to remove about 15 stitches from his back legs (tumor removals), and a muzzle was not necessary nor feasible for this guy. Ziggy is a blind/ deaf, gentle elderly dog, so this collar is extremely helpful for him. I have used this collar to get him acclimated to his new home, as he is blind, he tends to hit his head when going under the coffee table...but not with this on! The collar gave him enough of a clearance so that he was a little safer exploring his home.
I have used this collar in a larger size on a younger, healthier dog, and it was fairly useless as an e-collar, - so for that dog we ended up using a regular e-collar, to keep him from chewing his body & the collar. Depending on the animal, and what you intend to use this for...I’d say it works best, for me, with smaller animals, for certain temporary purposes.… more
not better than a real cone
on Sep 9, 2020
We got this hoping it would be a more comfortable cone alternative while our dog is healing from CCL surgery. While it definitely is more comfortable, he can only wear it under supervision. I even sized up, just to be sure it would be big enough, but he can still get around it to his leg. While we are sleeping or unable to keep an eye on him, the traditional cone goes back on. Since he can still lick his back leg, this isn’t a 100% alternative for us. We even looped in a regular collar so he could push it off or slide it around.
I could see it working better for spay/neuter surgeries or less long, athletic dogs. However, be prepared and have a traditional cone, just in case.
