No toy is indestructible. Supervise your pet when using since small parts can present a choking hazard or internal blockage. Discontinue use if the toy is damaged. Keep out of reach of children. Note: Cats usually begin to appreciate catnip between 6 and 8 months of age. Use no more than a few times per week for maximum kitty fun. To keep catnip fresh, store in a safe, cool, dark place. Catnip is an herb that grows naturally in the environment. We recommend catnip be used exclusively by cats. It is not intended for human consumption. Monitor play.
This has been a real winner for our orange boy - he's been consistently playing with the toy since we purchased it a few weeks ago. Although he likes the puzzle aspect and taking apart the velcro, his favorite part has definitely been the tiny mouse inside. Once he gets the velcro open he likes to carry around and throw the mouse, and bring it as a gift or to play fetch.
My cat has initial interest in almost every toy he gets and I assumed he would love this one because of his love for string/shoelaces/etc. He had zero interest in it from the start and will not even chase after it when I throw it. One redeeming quality is that it included a small toy mouse hidden in the velcro, which he did play with when separated from the main toy.
I got this toy for my kitten, but my two adult cats love it just as much if not more. They spend hours rolling around all over it tossing it around and biting it. It is built well and doesn’t unravel. There is a catnip mouse stitched on the inside. Will definitely repurchase when they beat their current one up.
My kitties love to do activities with me, which I love, except when they try to steal my yarn when I knit. So I got them this so they could knit with me. I give them this when I knit and they're happy to have their own string that is SAFE for kitties, which is the most important thing. Its sturdily made too, so I don't worry about it coming unraveled or becoming a swallowing hazard. I also love that the toy had multiple parts and the wrapper allows me to trap treats inside for some stimulating digging. Good job Kong!
My sweet tortoiseshell cat, who is somewhere between 7 and 12 years old, loves this toy. She is not an easy cat to play with as she often wants to play, but is rarely able to articulate or show me how she wants me to play with her. Those glitter balls? She will happily chase them three or four times, and then regardless of how I tease her about which direction they will go next, she seems to be bored of chasing after them and simply watches me throw them for the next few minutes until I bore of that game. The twirl baron she can get behind chasing for about five minutes, and then she again, gets bored, and then just meows at me to make the game more interesting. I have all sorts of other toys: the chirpy birds (lame, she says), the balls with bells in them (not cool enough for her), fake mice (they're fake, mom), a light up ball with a track that it rolls around (Why would she push a ball around a closed loop? She asks me.) She used to enjoy running after and attacking tennis balls, but seems to have tired of that as well. She still has a lot of energy, it's just that she seems to want more mental stimulation. We have tried catnip toys in the past, and she'll get excited for about five minutes and then walk away and never touch it again. She loves this toy!
Honestly didn't expect much from such a simple toy but boy is this one an instant hit with both my furr babies! My kitten loves dragging & fetching stringy items, particularly one ball of twine she's had forever so I bought this toy more for her but found both my cats pawing at my hands before I could even get it off its packaging. I assume the catnip infused into it is doing the trick but I'm not complaining because they only take to very specific toys they love and this one fits their needs. So much love for all things chewy.
Both of my cats won't play with this toy, I thought it was so cute and thought it would be a super fun toy. I was wrong.
Little Kitty is indoor outdoor but we’re socked in for a few days (ice storm). She has played and played with her new ‘ball of yarn!’ I think that the pictures say more than my words. She loves it!
Wesley LOVES this toy! He will swat the mouse around forever, and loves to attack the yarn plush. So worth it for such an affordable price!
My kitty loves his strings, so naturally he is infatuated with this toy. He regularly carries this around and plays with it daily. Highly recommended by my fur ball!
