I have tried many dog brushes over the years. For my tiny Chuchichua puppy breed, this piticular brushe is far to sharp & pokey for her coat. Maybe for a different breed of puppy or dog this brushes might work good, say for a dog that has 2 coats of fur or a thicker coat it might work out fine.

I'm a professional groomer, bought these (lg & sm) because I loved borrowing my coworker's set. They arrived SO sharp, the bristles feel like freshly cut wire. I didn't notice at first but when I used them on my skin they left scratches no matter how gentle I was. I'm going to have to sand them smooth, really disappointed because they do work very well and leave a nice finish
