Pretty but birds won't touch it

By Raech on Oct 14, 2021

I have had this hanging in my tree where I had 2 previous suet feeders that squirrels would pull off the tree. It has been up for about a month and not a single bird has touched it. Very sad. Will leave it up and hope for the best

Had one before and used it till it wore out!

By shelly on Sep 6, 2021

Great suet feeder. Keeps the larger birds out but still able to feed and lets the smaller birds inside undisturbed. Had one before and it lasted 10 or more years until the handle finally gave out, otherwise the feeder would still be functional. Easy to fill and convenient as you can fill it with 2 suet cakes.

    Suet feeder

By Sandy on Aug 21, 2021

I love this suet feeder as it keeps the squirrels away from the suet. I had this feeder previously and a squirrel, hanging from the bottom of the feeder, manage to break the ring off the top. Since I could not locate another identical feeder locally, I got online and ordered two more. Love, love, love this feeder!

    Disappointed

By Lisa on Aug 11, 2021

This cage feeder does NOT keep large birds away. Starlings with their long beaks and black birds with their thin heads are able to get to the suet and eat it up before the woodpeckers, cardinals, and small song birds can get to it. There needs to be more distance between the suet cakes and the caging. Nice concept but it just doesn’t work as currently designed.

    Bird go caught!

By Sherry on Jul 5, 2021

Its a good thing I was home and saw bird that was caught in the cage. I will post picture and video. I had to run over to friends house to see if he could help me get him out. He got him out and saved his life! It could have been worse because he was trying to get out but he was stuck...couldn't even move his wings. I threw it away and please quit selling it like this because the bird was lucky he didn't break his neck or leg and I noticed it and was home day off. I tried to attach picture i took but it says its too large. Trust me the bird was stuck!!

    Great for small birds

By BirdLover on Jun 25, 2021

I have had one of these for years. It has kept the squirrels and bully birds away from the suet. We recently moved, next to woods. It was no match for the 5 foot bear, lol. He squeezed it completely, to get the suet out. So needed replacing. I have an air horn handy now!

    feedeowner

By Steven on May 23, 2021

Received as a gift from wifey. Took a while for birds to get the idea it was there. Maybe because of the other feeders close by. But once it was ‘discovered’, small birds including woodpeckers, have had at it. Squirrels can not get to it, but then they have their own feeder.

Good for bird...wrestling match for squirrels

By Blake on May 31, 2021

While I wouldn't say it squirrel PROOF..it does slow things down they still reach in to the suet to get a hand full..I'm glad to see all size birds loving it..will definitely need to up my supply of suet now..going thru 2 block in 2 days

    Very Disappointed

By KUFEEDER on May 15, 2021

Completely disappointed. Bought this suet feeder because the starlings destroy my regular suet feeders with out letting other birds eat. So I thought this one would keep the starlings from getting to the suet. WRONG!! In one day the starlings ate a whole suet block. Waste of money.

    ineffective

By Zeke on Jun 3, 2021

A nice design to hold suet cakes but does not keep out squirrels or large birds. The size of the cage around the suet feeder makes it a bit more challenging for larger creatures to get in, but does not a prevent access.
