Is the "natural flavor" in any way from yeast? My guy has a nasty allergy to yeast and cannot tolerate any in his diet.

The natural flavor is derived from a hydrolyzed vegetable protein source. However it is manufactured in a building where yeast is present. Although there is no yeast in this product.

Different from 5oz can!

My cat really liked this in the 5oz can however, I don’t like keeping an open can for more that a day. So I was really happy to see they made smaller cans, however

My cat really liked this in the 5oz can however, I don’t like keeping an open can for more that a day. So I was really happy to see they made smaller cans, however it is not the same! The 5oz cans are a little looser “pate” and also had whole peas. The smaller cans are a very dense pate and no peas. It took my cat a couple days before she would really eat the smaller cans. Really wish it was the same stuff!

Been ordering this food for years and mid 2025 received a new case and completely different. The texture and consistency is visibly different and our cat just doesn't eat it anymore. It is disappointing to get used to a product, especially one designed for sensitive eaters, for the manufacturer to just change it.

Several of the cans were very wet, the cans didn’t have much consistency. One can spilled all over the counter as I tried to open it. The food is supposed to be pate, meaning a solid form. I’m disappointed with the consistency, but I don’t have much of a choice since my cat has a very sensitive stomach and vomits frequently during the month. This isn’t Chewy’s fault, it’s the manufacturer and I have contacted Natural Balance with my complaint and asked for a replacement but they said I was to contact Chewy’s where I bought the food. Again it isn’t Chewy’s fault.

I also love how it’s limited ingredients with the first being duck. Overall I think it’s a quality product I would buy again.
